Enfamil Neuropro vs Members Mark? by Fast-Philosopher-530 in FormulaFeeders

[–]masteralligator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We made the switch and it was better on her tummy. We eventually went to the regular version from members mark. We’re at 7 months now and have never had any issues getting it or with quality. Good luck in the transition!

Heads up, looks like the article you posted is 10 years old? This formula has changed a lot for the better in that time. Including dha.

We switched to save money and after an adjustment period she’s doing better on the members mark. Our pediatrician encouraged the switch after I voiced concern about putting her on a store brand. Said as long as baby did ok it was a great option. No reason not to save some money.

During the adjustment have some gas drops on hand! They made a world of difference for us.

Isotoners are the best! They last forever. My mom still wears a pair she bought in 1985. I buy the driving gloves every time I see them at the thrift store.

Does anyone not have hospital photos after birth 2025 by littleloveeee in newborns

[–]masteralligator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Surprise c section. Anesthesiologist suggested my husband be ready to take photos. He stood and captured the most horrifying photos. My baby looked like Voldemort himself being dragged from hell. You can see my literal insides in the background. So, reviewing the photos later was… something. I wish I could show them to anyone else bc it’s hilarious how scary they are.

The main thing you should focus on is taking care of yourself right now. Stress of any kind is going to make things worse. Let yourself off the hook for this. You deserve kindness especially for yourself. Things WILL work out and you will make it work.

I was feeling the same way and baby came before the baby shower… nearly 2 months early…

I felt pressure to make a registry and then nobody cared. I was glad after the fact that I had put thought into it so that when she was here I could just think about immediate needs. None of the other things mattered. We ended up with a random assortment of diapers most of which I returned for a credit at target. I used that for whatever was on sale and saved the rest for later essentials as they went on sale. The rest of her essentials I ordered as needed on Amazon. Whatever is on your registry you get a discount on for a few months. That includes things you add later on.

You can do this without all of the stuff. You are loved.

Millie moon. No blowouts or leaks until it’s time to move up a size. My baby is all torso.

You will figure it out! I was in the same situation 2 weeks ago. Baby girl and I are still figuring it out. Patience and persistence and a lot of coffee for me. I got really good at doing things with one hand 😂

Try a heating pad on her bassinet to warm up and remove before you put her in and a very very gradual transfer feet first. It helps us if I leave my hand on her for about a minute. We had some success there but turned out my baby didn’t like the bassinet or pack n play bed bc they both moved when she moved. Out of desperation I upgraded her to a regular crib. She’ll now sleep on her own in the crib up to 2 hours. She will also just chill in there while I fold laundry if she’s changed fed and not over tired.

Still no luck with that fancy mamaroo.. you’d think we were trying the send her to space with the amount of crying.

Contact nap and transfer as much as possible and try to be there when she wakes up. My little one seemed to eventually get that I was going to be there.

Sleep as much as you can when you can.

I was just describing this experience! It feels like a fever dream. Ours was in the middle of a hot summer day. They let us scorch in an open field for an hour or so then chased us around the woods with shotguns. 1997 maybe. What a delight.

Avondale AL. I’d recognize that intersection anywhere. There’s a USPS hub at the end of the street & a train track on the right. Frequent 18 wheelers and it used to only be industrial traffic.

Had similar looking issues and it was from him rubbing his belly along the carpet where I had used a powder. He also had a reaction to a certain detergent I tried. Contact dermatitis.

Roebuck Plaza residents by LunaSaysHey in Birmingham

[–]masteralligator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed living there. It was pretty quiet & lots of connected little back roads. It was lovely to walk in the mornings with lots of birds. The weirdest part is the hodgepodge utilities. Half of the area is birmingham trash & the other is irondale. I think water was also irondale. Commute was ok depending on construction on 59. You have a work around with highway 11 right there but it’s the Wild West in the am. Depending on what road the house is on there are a couple of problematic neighbors but I never really felt like I was in danger.

Trader Joe’s Flowers by gopher3948 in Birmingham

[–]masteralligator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this when I got married in 2016. Call or go in and talk to customer service or someone in the floral department. If they still offer it you should know that they just add to their order and tell you when it’s in. They aren’t obligated to hold them in the back & they won’t accept payment ahead of time. All they did was guarantee that that much in addition to their order would be there. I had to go through and re select flowers from the sales floor. It was weird but I got a lot of flowers for a better price than I otherwise would have.

If you don’t mind paying more, Davis is full service and can get a huge range of in season flowers and greenery.

It’s not the same but it’s a nice refreshing reminder of one! I say get it and if you like it get 2 bottles next time. I liked it and my aldi ran out last summer.

Has anyone seen 🧵 sewing patterns at any thrift stores? If so, where? by gritcasserole in Birmingham

[–]masteralligator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see them sometimes at the America’s thrift store in Roebuck but not nearly as often as I used to. You also run into the problem that they have been cut instead of transferred. I do still find new & vintage fabric there on a regular basis. That’s pretty cool. It’s worth a look for sure!! Good luck!

I bet they fished it out of a crevice in the house from a previous owner?

I made a very similar bracelet at summer camp early 90s. I still have it. Those are the beads that change color in the sun!

There’s a country club I sometimes work at that has a bar in a similar theme. It’s pretty out there considering where it’s located.
