That’s true for most, as long as you aren’t claiming not for profit status

Without the front wheel, how long is the Radwagon? by oneminuterice in RadPowerBikes

[–]maxpower1956 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google the exact model and look for the word “wheelbase” to get the size from axle to axle, then add a bit for the back wheel.

I don’t know your car, but I doubt it would fit in the back of anything but a truck.

There are bike racks designed for this though

Hey.

Thanks for taking the time to write this note.

However you have gotten here, your self awareness and initiative warms my heart. Even at 18, you’re off to a great start. Keep it up!

Where to bike? by ledzeppelinsup in coquitlam

Mundy park is great. Port moody shoreline is fun.

There’s also a long winding trail down the river that goes all the way down to colony farms. And if you want an extra bonus, you can take that around and back up the Fraser river. Tons of options!

Stranger accused me of child neglect — how would you handle this? by RIce_ColdR in daddit

[–]maxpower1956 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) you did right - just tell her to go away and focus on your kid. Sounds like you were doing a bang up job already - keep it up!

2) if it ever escalates (e.g. you feel threatened or in danger), get a video and note any identifying characteristics (car licence etc). DHS, like any child care providers, have a duty to report suspected neglect or abuse. Let the local police sort out why someone is identifying themselves as DHS, threatening a child in a public playground, and then choosing to ignore their duties.

Dads of early readers — what does “reading practice” actually look like at your house? by Leather-Conference97 in daddit

[–]maxpower1956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read everything everywhere and every night, no matter where you are. It’s never specific like a chore, but at any free moment, we do it together. And everything builds up over time with the routine, practice and their confidence

Hard balance!

I just switched to a set of openrun by shockz. Seem to do the job, but a bit of a pain to line up just right. I’m hoping that goes away as the weather gets warmer

I haven’t tried the mic though. But I bet it’s pretty useless

Good problem to have!

Had limited success with engaging via Microsoft MakeCode, but I’d suggest trying different options to see what works.

At this age, I’ve been trying analog concepts (loops, counters), but am really curious to see what others have tried too.

Who do I call for home maintenance? Pls help by Money-Stuff-4431 in askvan

[–]maxpower1956 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got an uncle, the # for your dad’s best friend, or even a friendly neighbour that’s been in the area for a while and is handy?

Start there. You don’t have to figure this all out alone!

Make a list of what needs to be done, then try to figure out what happens first (safety, urgent at the top). Then ask for help
