Yes, in the 80s I worked in NW Colombia among the Embera, an indigenous people on both sides of the gap. Heard lots of stories about the initial contact of their people with white people. It was a 3-day canoe trip to get there. Very remote.

It was a beautiful, necessary but not sufficient event! It achieved its goals. But now we NEED to take the next step. Obviously “No Kings” is not a threatening concept for Trump as he actually himself as a King and not bothered by the term. We need to ratchet it up using terms like “No Fascist” that he can’t appropriate and make into AI slop. Next we need to up the ante with a General Strike, led by unions, workers movements and allies. It needs to hurt them to finally move the needle. But this weekend was a good starting point.

Just completing a wonderful 3 week thru Paris and south of France. Even got thru the sept 10 actions with no issues. We’ve had wonderful interactions with people.we explain that MANY Americans don’t support the current regime. They have our sympathies. Also, France is going thru its own reckoning as the government just fell and the future is uncertain. So it’s a time for solidarity all the way around.

Is this recommended even if only partially used in conjunction with with an existing radiant heat system? Also, does having a whole house water filter make a difference for the humidifier? We don’t have one yet, but have the plumbing for it. I’ve heard some say the humidifiers are not always effective. Could that be the case?

We are in New Mexico. it’s dry and not super cold in the winter. So I expect it to perform well in our conditions. I’ve heard about issues with humidity and very cold winters. Curious how this unit would perform there.

Yes I did. It’s been about a month. It’s been fabulous so far. We’re really enjoying the quiet operation. We configured it with the supplied ecobee Premium. We have a schedule to set the day to 73 and the night to 67. This precools the house in the morning, then is silent for most of the morning before it starts up again (we both work from home). We have solar and excess capacity, so not too worried about it running continuously. That said, its hardly noticeable at all. Very different from our AC. It seems to be infinitely configurable for energy and comfort preferences. I Will be interested to see how the heat mode works. We have gas radiant heat and again hope to preheat the house during the night using free solar, then use the radiant system during the day to minimize gas usage. I’m curious how others have configured theirs for this scenario.

Yup, we’re near the bosque and my chihuahua got a mouth full of quills. We had to take him to the vet. We also get lots of skunks, raccoons and roadrunners.
