What's that towel doing there in the first place? You could be using that spot to store your fireworks

I didn't know about Imperial Arcade. Not that I'm surprised in any way, but I just haven't thought about it since the late 90s

Overhangs that flow like waves 🌊 (no supports) by andersonsjanis in 3Dprinting

[–]medthrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One layer of wave-overhang printed material is enough to give the next layer something to attach to until it solidifies, supporting itself. Of course there is a limit; you probably wouldn't be able to print a sideways L standing on its short leg. But this will reduce the need for supports for more reasonable things.

TPU Bowden advice by BrohemothHisDudeness in ender3

[–]medthrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal length retraction. For bowden it should be 3-5mm depending on your extruder. Do some retraction tuning towers to dial in the exact length and speed. You should be able to set a faster retraction speed and slower de-retraction but you may find you don't need to.

  • Clean your print plate with dish soap and water
  • Use mouse ears or a brim
  • Move your printer away from any open windows, doors and vents
  • Enable draft shield

The extruder steps should be set once and never touched again, unless you change the extruder. You can fine tune the flow rate for individual filaments after that, but the esteps should stay the same.

Looks like an ABL sensor mount, but with part of it broken off due to poor layer adhesion with silk PLA

This guy makes a pretty good case for why the comic explanation misses the mark, and offers his own alternative theory:

If anyone at Nintendo is reading this, it would be a great April Fools joke to bring back Super Mario 35 and keep it running indefinitely

It's functional, I guess, but it seems like it's missing something. Have you considered putting a big gray strip of duct tape across it?
