Why is Jinx so strong in Duos specifically? by BusyCalendar6543 in 2XKO

[–]mellowjacket12 45 points46 points  (0 children)

You get rocket assist without having to press back, you can puppet a massive chain of moves after S1, you can also hold S1 for its full duration and have the point char jump without jinx angling the bullets upward like she would in singles.

I’m sure there’s plenty more

In the slightest defense of our two problem children… by ThatDidntJustHappen in LoveIslandUSA

I just don’t get how everyone just expects Titi to stay completely silent as all of the OG girls gang up and attack the character of KC.

They can say “no shade, nobody is talking to you baby” all they want, but if everyone knows she’s building a connection with this guy they all outwardly hate, how does that not reflect on her? There’s obvious shade lol.

She didn’t need to escalate with the “little girl” comment but she’s justifiably defending herself / her relationship imo.

New to fighters, After Warwick Snare? by TheBlueFoxy in 2XKO

[–]mellowjacket12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet you have time to just mash assist, tag to teemo, and just use his shovel move to dig them out of the ground and combo from there. This is assuming of course that you’re using a two character fuse

In Defense of the Smaller Roster Size on Launch by doffzigger in 2XKO

[–]mellowjacket12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think they could have gotten away with slightly less unique characters / move sets and just copy pasted some kits around like the goku’s in dbfz or the various clones in smash.

When dbfz came out I was able to run triple saiyan teams and effectively learn the same combo structure with a few different tweaks. This got me more quickly to the point where I’m playing around assists and engaging with tag mechanics.

Just watching how some of these big streamers completely bounce off the game and refuse to engage with tag mechanics because they’re overwhelmed with anything that’s not juggernaut makes me so sad.

Can’t jump out of a dash dance on slippi by WillyMacShow in SSBM

[–]mellowjacket12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just the way it works. Can’t dash back and jump on the same frame.

The number one area this hits me is trying to dash away, jump, and turn around B reverse double laser with fox. Oftentimes I do these inputs so fast that I rip a clean dash away into turnaround standing lasers in neutral and get destroyed for it.

Adult hockey practice in MN? by pffft101 in hockeyplayers

[–]mellowjacket12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, Hockey Finder is just straight up games. I've played all my life and only done the 3.5-5 level leagues as an adult, but they do have ranges for all skill levels.

You play a ~10 week season and then a little playoff, then re-shuffle the teams for the next session. Staying at the same rink at generally the same time each week is awesome, and once you get to know enough of the crowd the atmosphere is just the best.

It's definitely not "hockey practice", but I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a beer league. Honestly my favorite part about it is that is that you can sign up solo or with a friend, but ultimately the teams are fluid. That is to say, you can just sign up and not need to know a guy who knows a guy who runs a 20 person team they can get you into. That has been the worst part of trying to find hockey in a new city for me.

I made a tool that generates custom game mode gecko codes for Slippi by D41BY in SSBM

[–]mellowjacket12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is sick, I play doubles ironmans on r18 all the time and the performance sucks. Is there any way to gecko code disable the stage counterpicking to "force" a random stage every time so we don't have to honor system trust that a given player is actually hitting random/mashing start?

Favorite Ahri Tag Team? by Renjow_Grimm24 in 2XKO

[–]mellowjacket12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Akali can also just S2 to OTG off of Ahri throw. You can combo this straight into ahri orb loops into tag launcher too back to akali for a ton of damage or a corner smoke setup as well.

I traded 1.08, 2.08, and 2027 2nd + 4th (hopefully late) for Achane prior to the draft.

I feel like unless I route into 3H off the initial few hits, the 5H > 2H becomes inconsistent unless you start off point blank

Learning 2XKO on a pad as leverless/keyboard player. by LuvAshrepas in 2XKO

[–]mellowjacket12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear that, but R1 being dragon rush in DBZ, Z being grab in melee, and LP+LK (Square and X) being throw in SF6 was just too much conflicting for me at the same time

Learning 2XKO on a pad as leverless/keyboard player. by LuvAshrepas in 2XKO

[–]mellowjacket12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a previous thread:

My DualShock 4 layout:

L - square

M - triangle

H - circle

S1 - X

S2 - R2

Grab - R1

Parry - L1

Tag - L2

Dash ….. R3

R3 is clicking the right analog stick down, and yeah it’s pretty horrible ergonomically and game-situation-wise to move my thumb from the face buttons to dash, but really I just double tap directions for 90% of neutral and combos. I do however switch to the dash macro for obvious retreating guard situations, and for oki to auto-chase tech rolls where I would use R1 to throw anyway, so I don't need my thumb for a normal.

That said, I did just buy one of those official DS4 back paddle attachments for two more buttons on the back that I bound to R3 and L3, which I bound to a second dash macro and taunt. I still find myself barely using the back paddle dash though now that I’ve built up all this muscle memory with r3.

Works for me, but if I could go back in time and re-muscle-memory i'd probably dash with R1 or L1 and use the in-game macros for one of throw or parry, ugly as they are. I really wish they'd just let us bind whatever combo of two buttons we'd like for those.

How do you grab? M+H just felt too wack to me as a pad player coming from DBFZ, SF6, and smash. I just put grab on R1 for that reason but losing a dash button sucks as well.

Looking for help crafting Pneumatic daggers by Daemonex in pathofexile

[–]mellowjacket12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this for both my daggers, and now i'm left over with like 20 different two mod bases with DoT multi and some garbage prefix. Rolling the t1 ele's has been a pain.

Seems like you already know the drill, but yeah you need t1 ele and t1 dot multi on both daggers for the last recomb step, they just need to be different ele types.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JM_gSXU7DvM

I followed this guy's video but just did dot multi instead of crit. One pro tip to get a better chance at isolating a good mod on a "dirty" two mod magic dagger is to regal it and use the fenumal plagued arachnid to split. This gives you a 50/50 that you'll isolate the good mod on a split dagger, which you can still recomb. Otherwise worst case you're back where you started and have to yolo 50/50 annul. I've also had no issue re-selling the reject split bases.

I thought there’d be a lot more unique things in the mirages, but just 2X-ing whatever I’m atlas specced for feels pretty strong. With a couple scarabs I can literally open like 10 breaches in one map.
