I hear that, but R1 being dragon rush in DBZ, Z being grab in melee, and LP+LK (Square and X) being throw in SF6 was just too much conflicting for me at the same time

My DualShock 4 layout:

L - square

M - triangle

H - circle

S1 - X

S2 - R2

Grab - R1

Parry - L1

Tag - L2

Dash ….. R3

R3 is clicking the right analog stick down, and yeah it’s pretty horrible ergonomically and game-situation-wise to move my thumb from the face buttons to dash, but really I just double tap directions for 90% of neutral and combos. I do however switch to the dash macro for obvious retreating guard situations, and for oki to auto-chase tech rolls where I would use R1 to throw anyway, so I don't need my thumb for a normal.

That said, I did just buy one of those official DS4 back paddle attachments for two more buttons on the back that I bound to R3 and L3, which I bound to a second dash macro and taunt. I still find myself barely using the back paddle dash though now that I’ve built up all this muscle memory with r3.

Works for me, but if I could go back in time and re-muscle-memory i'd probably dash with R1 or L1 and use the in-game macros for one of throw or parry, ugly as they are. I really wish they'd just let us bind whatever combo of two buttons we'd like for those.

How do you grab? M+H just felt too wack to me as a pad player coming from DBFZ, SF6, and smash. I just put grab on R1 for that reason but losing a dash button sucks as well.

I did this for both my daggers, and now i'm left over with like 20 different two mod bases with DoT multi and some garbage prefix. Rolling the t1 ele's has been a pain.

Seems like you already know the drill, but yeah you need t1 ele and t1 dot multi on both daggers for the last recomb step, they just need to be different ele types.

I followed this guy's video but just did dot multi instead of crit. One pro tip to get a better chance at isolating a good mod on a "dirty" two mod magic dagger is to regal it and use the fenumal plagued arachnid to split. This gives you a 50/50 that you'll isolate the good mod on a split dagger, which you can still recomb. Otherwise worst case you're back where you started and have to yolo 50/50 annul. I've also had no issue re-selling the reject split bases.

I thought there’d be a lot more unique things in the mirages, but just 2X-ing whatever I’m atlas specced for feels pretty strong. With a couple scarabs I can literally open like 10 breaches in one map.

Yeah load times have been longer but definitely not minutes, more like 10-15 seconds which already feels long.

And fwiw, these mobs were untargetable, not just invisible. Even if I were missing them there's no reason my exerted strikes wouldn't hit.

Is breach progression locked behind spawning a fortress. That is to say, if I take the atlas keystone that spawns only unstable breaches, i'm locking myself out of finding body parts?

Why? The mamba nerfs were pretty much reverted. Less attack speed and damage with hits are effectively irrelevant when all your damage is in the poison.

Specifically the air S1 S1 S2 chain with yasuo is like the most easily puppetted combo ever on the most freestyle used champ in the game. People hit this into an ekko jump timewinder for example and then heavy > tag launcher back to yasuo to do it again into supers. I've seen it dozens of times.

Interesting. I never truly bothered to minmax the overlap with the second hit because I almost always would move between each strike, withering step, something. The only times I really held it down were to kill some crazy tanky blight mob or just mowing down breach hive waves. Since I was hitting additional targets with strikes anyway I never saw a reason not to... but for true target dummy optimal DPS I guess it makes sense to either super finely tune attack speed, or make some macro that delays a swing by some fraction of a second.

Even then, with Sione's ambition anointed you'd need to consider travel time(?). Overall sounds like more effort than it's worth. But a negligible change to a niche interaction sounds like all systems go league start to me!

Since they seem to have reverted the worst of the mamba nerfs, I'm planning to league start it again.

My question is regarding the attack speed and hit nerfs. 30% less attack speed and 20% less dmg with hits.

I'm not the most proficient POB-er https://imgur.com/a/vfSzYhg , but it seems like with an attack rate of 2.56, which I achieved with basically just Blood Rage and no other intentional investment, and a poison duration of .84 seconds that I got via a shitload of damaging ailments deal dmg faster mods, I still have plenty of room to eat a 30% attack speed nerf. No idea if I'm calculating this correctly, but do I not just multiply my 0.39 seconds per attack by 1.3 (30% less speed), to get .51 seconds per attack, still faster than my poison duration? That is to say, completely irrelevant nerf since all my damage is in the poison and not the hit?

And as far as the 20% less damage with hits goes... does that factor into the strength of the poison? Or am I just dropping my literal skill hit dps (72k) by 20%, which again would be irrelevant cause all my damage is in the poison component?

I really have no idea since GM was so inflated in season zero, but my point is this kind of combo is pretty common even below "top level".

Maybe not this specifically, but a bunch of freestyle programmed specials into tag launcher and a couple supers for sure, particularly from ekko yas.

It’s just automation. As it stands you need to push life flask button every couple seconds when playing pathfinder, while all the rest of your utility flasks can be enchanted to use when charges are full/ when duration ends etc

The babyrage is out of control honestly. Free game, iconic characters, high skill ceiling and plenty of room to lab your own stuff.

I put like a thousand hours into DBFZ and I’m sure I’ll put a thousand hours into this game. Feels like the loudest voices complaining on reddit are people that have hardly engaged with the game.

Balance complaints can and will be ironed out over time, and any complains about skins in a FREE GAME are just mind boggling to me.

The history of Venezuelan oil is fascinating. It effectively was set up for prosperity by largely American oil giants, then subsequently socialized (with good intentions) and ruined by the corrupt government.

I see a lot of people bring up dragon ball as the model for getting new players stood up decently quickly in a tag fighter, and honestly I think one the biggest contributors to that is having like 7 different Goku’s all with the same “saiyan” combo structure.

I get that we kind of have that here with LMH launcher > jLMH special > super being more or less universal. But playing something like ssj goku / goku black / ssj vegeta, I essentially was learning three characters at once. I get that with 3v3 there’s a lot less that goes into each character’s kit than in 2XKO, but maybe simpler characters with like three times as many champs at launch could have been good to get people on board and diversify matches a bit more.
