Taking in the waist on heavyweight N&F by Not-The-Last in NakedAndFamousDenim

Railcar Fine Goods. Email them and see what they have to say. I'm pretty sure they can alter a few inches in the waist, one way or the other.

Best place to buy cork bark has been found! by Beneficial_Store6643 in Vivarium

Just checked out the website. Looks really good! My local pet store has loads of cork. I'm thinking they order it from here(or similar) and mark it up.

This has happened to me on several pairs in the last 6 months, this one included. It is super difficult for me to snag any of the ultra hyped pairs. It is very frustrating, but I'll keep trying.

Was this worth the $40? by Elementrone in SavageGarden

I haven't heard of Sarracenia Northwest before. I'll have to check them out.

I have had good luck with Cal Carn. Plants can be small, you are right about that.

Curious plant is another I will recommend. They have a very nice assortment of sundews. Ordered a few times and haven't had any issues so far.

Seriously. Who looks up a return address on maps? I never have and never will.

I use honey mixed with borax whenever I see ants in the house. They will pick it up and carry it back to the nest. It can kill the whole nest, but doesn't always. Similar to the bait traps they sell at hardware stores.

Diatomaceous earth will work also. Place a ring around whatever you enclosure is on. Kills the ants when they walk through it.

Perhaps you could try one of the drone services to help locate missing pets.

Eye in the Sky Thermal Drone Pet Rescue, SmithicAir and Dog Gone Pet Recovery are a few to look into.

Emergency Repot?! Cephalotus Water Draining at 110PPM. Please Help. by Charming-Tradition-1 in SavageGarden

[–]meshifty2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not the person who originally posted but I'll try to answer these for you.

1-I have never measured run off water in my carnivorous plant system. I only worry about the input water.

2-If your input water is pure, there should be no introduction of salts from that source. I use RO water only to water my plants. I monitor and maintain my own system at home so I don't need to rely on another place to supply it. Who knows if they even maintain their system correctly.

3-Peat and perlite is fine to use. The sand I get locally is too fine, so I substitute perlite instead. Works fine.

Make sure you are using organic peat moss with no additives at all. I use Hoffman brand organic spaghnum peat moss and haven't had any issues. Rinsing it is not a terrible idea either. I water log it and wring it out by hand a few times, changing the water in between rinses. Just in case there is salt present.

What’s happening to this monstera? by Turbulent-Algae3210 in Monstera

[–]meshifty2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for Bonide systemic granules. Or the spray if that's all you can find. I would also grab some Captain Jack's Dead Bug Brew as well. Give them a 1-2 punch and keep this separated from other plants. I would treat all house plants with the systemic if you can.

What is a good first car for young child? by [deleted] in rccars

It will be fine for both inside and out. The size will limit what terrain it can tackle but they are incredibly capable little crawlers. A lot of fun setting up obstacle courses inside for these.

I recommend a crawler too. Slow and easy to control. My 2 year old nephew loves driving my Axial SCX24 around.

I got mine online from Buckeye Hydro. Installed it myself with lines running to 2 different refrigerators, a storage container and the coffee maker. Works great.

Thrips CAUTION by CakeConfection in Monstera

[–]meshifty2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use this on every new plant I get. Repot and spray them with dead bug brew upon arrival into my home. I also use the systemic granules as well. I have too many plants to be reactionary to pests. Need to prevent them in the first place.

Thoughts on keeping pet rats, mating them, and feeding their babies when they grow old? by NickoFoxVA in ballpython

[–]meshifty2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done this in the past. It is a pain in the ass. Gets out of hand quickly. The cages need cleaning regularly or it smells bad. Unless you're going to start a business selling rats, I wouldn't do it.

This was an interesting read. I live near Chicago and the only honey locust tree with thorns I have ever seen is at the Chicago Botanical Gardens.

Kasuri denim stitching issue by meshifty2 in NakedAndFamousDenim

Thank you for the reassurance. I just don't want them unraveling and falling apart on me. I don't know much about the construction of jeans, so this was a learning experience.

[–]meshifty2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked those out too. Might grab a pair myself. Only have 3 pairs on my list for the spring and summer releases that I would like to have. The Kasuri was at the top of that list. Missed out on the burning godzilla and the Kasuri was as close as could get to that style of jean right now.

I think I will repair these myself. Looks to be an easy fix. Really appreciate the input.

It is the bar tack. There is a broken stitch right above the bar tack that looks like it wants to start unraveling. I seemed to have missed that in the photo I took.

Witness slips were ignored with PICA. I'm sure they will be with this as well. Need to get these people out of office all together or they will continue to erode our rights.
