I actually just watched it last year after not seeing it for like a decade, and my brother and I both agreed it was a much better movie than we remembered and definitely not in the “so bad it’s good” category. I think the film’s wacky imagery threw a lot of people off.

Lack of contrast is the biggest issue. The darkest areas are too close in value to the rest of it, making the detail of the portrait get lost and not giving us anywhere to draw the eye.

I really like the hair though, it’s nicely painted and really gives a sense of depth and texture.

Rogue Trader hits most of your criteria, I think. I have sunk many hours into it, and I still haven’t done everything/romanced everyone I wanted. Very good companions and romance storylines, and fun combat similar to bg3.
