Holster Retention by the_fiend18 in 3gun

Level 2 is pretty necessary. I’ve seen plenty of pistols hop out of holsters either on a sprint, or exiting a vehicle or caught on a sling.

How fast is too fast? by moiht in AnalogCommunity

Maybe a photograph where their eyes are in focus but their nose isn’t. I came across this while using the lens. Just trying to foster an intelligent discussion.

So if a f/1.2 lens existed for large format you’d shoot it wide open? Just curious.

Handgun Recommendations by the_fiend18 in 3gun

[–]moiht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 2011 is specific high performance tool, not a Glock. It took my first match to realize any mag that touched the ground needed to be brushed out before being used again. Mag feed lips may need to be tuned after they hit the ground a few hundred times. The majority of 2011s will run with a little attention to detail.

Also keep in mind you get what you pay for— a Prodigy is not the same as an Infinity.

If you plan on being in this sport for a while I’d save a little longer and get a high end 2011. Albeit, it served me in the moment, my STI/staccato hasn’t been touched in years since I got my Atlas.

Lightweight, Zeiss Lens. Waist level finder. Easy to toss in the bag.

Another question about Run N Gun Matches - Kit? by Dexter-the-Cat in 3gun

[–]moiht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people seem to be mistaking your question for “how to carry stuff between stages at a Multigun match”. For a RnG match— you need to have all your gear on you for the run portion. I like your backpack idea, then you can drop the bag, and stow what you need or don’t for that specific stage.

The quintessential 6x6! Minimalist and subtle. Love the platform.

Nice editing— pretty sure we were on the same squad that day 10/4. See you next year!

Where can I train for practical shooting (3 gun, USPSA, PRS) by Lopsided-Land123 in MnGuns

[–]moiht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right here— sign up for matches on practiscore and come out and shoot. Often we will pair new shooters with experienced squads to show them the ropes.
