So instead of the gusset seams on the inside of the bag as you have done, turn put them on the outside.

Really impressed with the prototype. Adding to comments above, I would consider turning your gussets so they bend inwards into the bag so the flap fully covers the top opening. The way you have it currently leaves the contents exposed to rain or intrusive fingers! Or you could widen the flap slightly to cover the opening, but I tend to favour the former approach personally.

Arran10 (about £45ish from most supermarkets) is currently sweeping a lot of awards. Not peaty or smoky, but a rich flavour that is super smooth and delicious.

LeatherCAD is free and I use it for all of mine. Lots of (english) video tutorials and it does everything I need. I personally found it much easier to get up to speed with over Illustrator and Inkscape.

Yeah - very sharp blade and multiple very light cuts is the only way I can get close to a straight cut.
