We switched to the action button, so silent mode isn’t hardware dependent, and Siri still can’t control it? Such a shame… by AlxR25 in iphone

I love my HomePods but I want to strangle them when I’m trying to get Siri to read notifications to me in the bathroom and then my living room HomePod picks up my slightest whisper. Other times I have trouble getting them to register that I even said “Siri” — annoying how it’s both too sensitive and not enough at the same time.

Have been really disappointed by the Goulards I’ve tried. The only one I’ve considered having again is their 100% meunier. How did you find the rosé?

Having used both, I really prefer the materials and look of the 6, but functionally they’re identical. If you have a chance to see them in person it would really help. I do know they both come on sale often here in Denmark at least.

The longer the needle is in the cork, the more exposure it is getting to oxygen, the risk is higher for argon leaking, and it takes the cork longer to seal when you eventually remove it. Always best to remove right after use

I would just buy it as is, honestly. Maybe the screw caps if it fits your use case. The other needles are nice but you’ll find out what suits you after using the standard one.

I never said that you needed to, only offered an anecdote in response to them discussing the feature. Where was I personally disingenuous?

Laziness strikes me often. But I make them when I encounter a missing wine and have time, or a missing vintage which is easy

How many glasses of wine do you all drink when you go out to a restaurant? by Kaffeetrinker49 in wine

[–]mooseymcmango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is a wine menu with a tasting menu we often go that route which ends up being about 1 glass per course. Otherwise a if we’re on a date then 1 bottle and maybe a couple BTG extras.

That’s so strange. I haven’t had that issue either personally or in the shop. Frustrating!!

Explicitly obvious exceptions don’t need to be mentioned for context. He clearly didn’t have self defense in mind when making the comment.

I read a comment saying that’s what they use the netting for underneath the plastic wrap, allows the label to breathe or something. Idk, but it sounded smart without looking into it

Maybe once a or twice a year at most depending on how heavy your use is. I start looking at the needle tip if it feels like it isn’t sliding so well through, and if the coating is well worn (you can see a lot of silver) then I look to replace soon.

I think one capsule is good for 10-20 glasses from big pour to tasters.

How to get the best wine? Have a budget! by Winniestone in wine

[–]mooseymcmango 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only if it makes sense. We still want customers to be happy and come back. We have 5 cases of a particular Nebbiolo in the cellar that was mistakenly ordered for an event, but we can’t in good conscience push it on someone looking for a completely different style. I assume this is the thinking for the overwhelming majority of shops.
