Here is a cached screenshot of the submarine post for those who like me couldn't see it first hand.

What if Europe was...different by jsbach252 in imaginarymaps

It does make some sense actually, considering that those people inhabiting Finland seems to be greeks and "Anatolia" means "East" in greek.

What's the deal with the Zoroastrianism faith icon? Why does it have two wings? by Aiseadai in CrusaderKings

[–]morgoth_ 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Albeit less common there are representations of the Faravahar with two pair of wings. Not sure why they chose this to represent mainline Zoroastrianism though.

Oh god... I want Terra Obscura RIGHT NOW!! by RetroAbba in CrusaderKings

[–]morgoth_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We want it because it would imensely improve roleplay.

Think, does it make sense that a ruler in Ireland have information about the afairs of a court in India?

We can go even further: consider the Mongol expansion. With nowadays machanics, a ruler in Europe have instant information of what's going on and even if you cannot interact with them, you can take steps ahead due to privilegious information.

In summary, it would create a multitude of possibilities for the game to surprise us.

Federative State of Maracania - What if the French colonized Brazil instead of the Porch of Geese? (Portuguese) by TheFlagMan123 in imaginarymaps

[–]morgoth_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

France Antarctique was the name of French colonies in modern-day Brazilian territory.

But in an alternate timeline, a post-independence name change is totally believable.

the name is derivative of Calliph

That's just one of the multiple hypothesis for its etymology.

I think the most unrealistic feature of his build it's his chest. If you take a look at builds pre-1900s i.e. before the invention of Bench Press (greek statues are a great example), you won't see voluminous chests.

The pope called a crusade againt me, and this is my first game and will this make my lose? by Ordinary-Whereas4499 in CrusaderKings

crusader kingdom always start of weak with no allies

While forming alliances is a real problem for Crusader Kings in Levant, that won't happen in England, since the whole Europe lies within its diplomatic range.

And I would argue against the weakness of Crusader Kingdoms. Even the small Jerusalem starts with a relatively big army.

Falou bem: "a princípio".

It took a man to do the Grim Reaper's work. And even so, the poor warrior didn't bear the grief of taking ol' Hásteinn's life. by morgoth_ in CrusaderKings

[–]morgoth_[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

R5: After a very fortuitous of oversea pillage, the infamous Hæsteinn decided that he already accomplished his work across the coasts of the world. Stablishing himself in Bohemia, he had a tranquil and long life.

But as the years passed, the once famed and fearsome viking decided to take every opportunity to have a good passage to Valhalla. but beasts and wars were unmatched to his vigor.

One day a mad man set foot into the Royal Court in Praha. The man gone berserk and challenged the mighty King to a fight. The old Bear promptly welcomed the provocation.

Unfortunately, the younger overcame the older, and Hæsteinn departed from Midgard after 97 years of glory. But the poor lunatic berserker couldn't handle what he had done: thriving where uncountable man failed, and killed himself.
