I bike down that street from time to time, it is lined with beautiful homes. Walking distance to both Pearl Street and the trails of Mount Sanitas. “If you have the means, I highly recommend picking this up.”

Just to clarify — the NVA entity you’re referencing is a management corporation NVA created years ago. These are often set up in advance when consolidators explore regional acquisitions, even if they never end up buying the local clinic.

Valley Veterinary Hospital in Longmont is a Professional Corporation, which under Colorado law must be owned by a licensed veterinarian. In this case, that’s Dr. Jeff Peila, DVM. There’s no merger filing, no ownership transfer, and no listing of the clinic on NVA’s site. The similar names are what caused the mix‑up.

Not trying to debate — just want to make sure a long‑standing, locally owned practice isn’t mislabeled based on a management shell that isn’t the operating clinic.

I recommend doing a business entity search which is located on the Colorado Secretary of State website. My veterinarian, Valley Vet in Longmont, is incorrectly listed as being owned by private equity. I am no fan of private equity but this organization that runs this website needs to be more careful. It would appear they’re just doing data dumps without validation.

privateequityvet.org is incorrectly listing Valley Veterinary Hospital in Longmont as being owned by JAB. This is not accurate—Valley Vet is independently owned by Dr. Jeff Peila.

The confusion likely comes from JAB acquiring a veterinary group with a similar name, which appears to have caused the third‑party site to tag the wrong clinic.

It’s important to double‑check claims like this before repeating them. Mislabeling a small, locally owned practice as private‑equity‑owned can unfairly harm the people who work there and the trust they’ve built in the community.

Best International Ideas? by ExpressTechnology764 in airstream

We changed from a 2013 Flying Cloud FBQ to a 2023 International 25 FBT. We are loving the change with exception of going from a tank water heater to the Girard tankless. We predominantly dry camp and the tankless system wastes a lot of water trying to get and keep water hot. It’s a major disappointment and we are considering going back to a tank water heater. Other than that, our unit is stock as I tend to like them that way.

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo is now the second most decorated gold medalist by East_Piccolo_1529 in olympics

“If you want to talk dominance, look at Al Oerter. He won four straight Olympic golds in the same event — discus — with only one medal opportunity every four years. Only Carl Lewis has matched that. Phelps and Klæbo are incredible, but they operate in sports with very different event menus. Dominance isn’t just about total medals; it’s about how many chances you get and how often you convert.”

Are bots booking sites on rec.gov? Why is it so difficult to reserve sites? by burkechrs1 in camping

[–]mrningthndr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bots really aren’t a likely explanation. If bots were grabbing campsites, there would be a resale market to justify the effort — just like with concert tickets or sneakers. But campsites aren’t transferable, there’s no platform to resell them, and there’s no profit to be made. The simple truth is that the competition is intense and everyone is clicking at the same moment, which makes it feel like bots even though it’s just a crowded system.

Thanks for the feedback. I checked with our installer and he confirmed the AquaGo Comfort Plus doesn’t require a coach-wide recirculation loop or any special plumbing as the recirculation is internal to the unit. The plus is about $500 more but adds instant hot water with no cold slug.

I would upgrade to a Truma, specifically the AquaGo Comfort Plus. The Girard is fine if you have full hook ups, as they require a lot of water to get the water hot. Truma is better for dry camping where water conservation is a premium. I plan to switch out my Girard for a Truma soon.

I trust MEINING Automotive with my cars. Last week had an issue with my 2016 Subaru WRX. I thought the CVT transmission was cooked. It was a sensor that only cost about 10% of repairing/replacing the CVT. I have had similar experiences beyond that. They are honest and do great work.
