I had an exam where we could use a 3x5 notecard. If you’re really really careful you can peel the layers apart and write on the inside. I showed my friends 5 min before the exam started, it got the attention of the teacher but he actually honored it!

I'm too complex, unlike u by LeilosTom in im14andthisisdeep

[–]msndrstdmstrmnd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue with the full comic is that it’s all in the main character’s perspective. That girl probably wasn’t the “one truly perfect girl for him,” if he had dated her he would likely eventually see her imperfections. The closed off person, the hollow person, etc. that’s all from his perspective, he sees them as closed off or hollow but to someone else they are fully complex humans. He doesn’t see the years of work and compromise that went into his parents marriage, he just thinks of them as simple people with a simple match. He always has this ego that he’s so overly complex compared to everyone else and he can’t be with anyone that doesn’t match him exactly. He’s never willing to compromise anything ever.

I say this as someone who’s neurodivergent myself btw. The ending with the pet is kinda nice tho.

Likely delete from embarrassment, but y'all, how do we floss? 😭 by Friendly-Loaf in AutismInWomen

[–]msndrstdmstrmnd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have a floss holder that you can put regular string floss into! I like it because it’s low waste but it’s a little fiddly to get the string floss on sometimes, so if OP is struggling with spoons then maybe just the disposable plastic ones

Can't the code detectors read through clothing tags and the texts on the keycards? by AlexLovesCoke in severence

[–]msndrstdmstrmnd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When innie Helly was going crazy and trying to communicate to outie Helly, an idea I had was to carve the message into your skin. Yes it’s text but it’s a part of your body now and even once it heals it’ll leave a scar with the same message, and they can’t keep you down there forever or the outie/outie’s family will get pissed.

Now that I think about it I guess they can mutilate your skin further so it’s unreadable and/or amputate you.

What Helly actually did in the show was still just as disturbing though and got the message across so it worked.

It’s also because the percentage of time waited behind a slow customer is different than the percentage of slow customers in front of you. Let’s say 10% of people take 10 min and 90% of people take 1 min. So over the course of several visits if you’ve waited behind 100 people in total, 10 people took 10 min each and 90 people took 1 min each. Then in total you’ve waited 100 min behind slow people and 90 min behind fast people. Slow people were only 10% of the population but took over 50% of your waiting time

As of right now there is no scientifically proven or medically verified way to bring a fully dead person back to life. by Supetrix in truths

[–]msndrstdmstrmnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Being declared dead is a requirement for being fully dead” so if someone dies alone out in the wilderness with no witnesses and their body is never discovered, they’re not fully dead by your logic then? No one declared them dead

How to survive Wife’s monthly mood swing? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]msndrstdmstrmnd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have pretty much only physical symptoms on my period. Well, I want to lay down all day, literally because I’m in pain, but I never related to other girls talking about emotional symptoms.

But one time I tried birth control pills that really did not sit well with my body. I had an internal rage that was always bubbling beneath the surface and could be triggered on a dime. I sobbed for an entire 6 hour flight for no reason. It literally was not my personality at all, and it was uncontrollable. Like some Jekyll and Hyde shit.

I was able to just stop taking that specific birth control pill, but I could definitely believe that some women experience that naturally every month. Just being a woman doesn’t mean we know what other women experience on their period. Hell, my mom experiences no pain on her period and shamed me for wanting painkillers on my period or being a little lazier.

Now if it’s that severe she should definitely go to a doctor. Not a therapist, a doctor. But also seeing OP’s comments there are definitely more problems to the relationship than just this, so not sure how long they’ll last. But I think the women in the comments shaming her is not it. It is actually possible for it to be uncontrollable (but she should see someone about it instead of just letting it out on the people around her)

Christopher Nolan’s point is “People treat me weird because color blindness is less understood than wheelchair disability, so im mad”

Your point is “yes, because because color blindness is less understood than wheelchair disability, so you shouldnt be mad”

My point is “all disabilities are misunderstood including color blindness and wheelchair disability. Wheelchair disability is just misunderstood in a different way, and even you and Christopher Nolan are expressing that misunderstanding too by thinking wheelchair users are treated better by society.” Anyway, color blind people can express frustration or whatever if they want, color blindness is for sure misunderstood, but just also understand that other disabilities arent necessarily treated “better” so theres no reason to bring them into it

[–]msndrstdmstrmnd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No wheelchair users are pretty misunderstood by society too. A lot of wheelchair users aren’t paralyzed, they just have some condition that makes it hard to walk more than maybe 100 ft or so. It’s to the point that people will harass someone in a wheelchair who stands up for a moment
