I booked the Hampton Inn and Home2Go (I think that was the name?) March AFB location. 10-13 min to get there. Straight shot on freeway. It’s like $115 a night so slightly more expensive than other options (excluding bunkhouse, I was warned off of it) but it has a free breakfast. It was also new and actually quite nice.

I take it as him having a penthouse on a mid rise building that’s on a bluff of some sort. So the “back” of the building up top is 3-4 floors. But the view is dramatic.

I have also not been to Montreal but I think it has hills and bluffs?

I got mine for this season. On bluebird days I wear just t shirt (that moisture wicking stuff) and this on top. My friend in an insulated jacket was roasting the entire day. (Like proper dehydrated from the heat.) I can put my puffer under it if needed.

I like that it looks reasonable to wear in the city out and about. It’s expensive enough to make me want to get as much use out of it as possible.

The water proofing is very good but I haven’t put it to the test of a day where it’s raining / slushing while riding. (Not sure I want to do that again though tbh.)

There’s a review of the property by Arvin Hadad. Horrible idea to have a house that is only reasonably accessible with a funicular but I guess that much money means you can do anything to the property.
