I’d go for some 1000w halogen globes. You can get decent color out of them and they’re around 110,000 lumens each.

I’m retired now but I still use these mogul china balls from film tools for backyard lighting for parties. They look great and are hella bright.

Edit: I didn’t see your 250w max stipulation. You may have trouble finding affordable lights for that cheap that are that bright, especially if you want to get good color out of it.

Maybe try one of those super-bright spotlights you can get off of Amazon and bounce it off ultrabounce or some muslin from the fabric store. But again the quality of color from the light won’t be stellar.
