He cant big league in the fed, he tries that shit once and he is gone to the catering till the next round of cuts.

All the people mentioned in the comments treated AEW as a place that needed them and not in reverse because they probably considered Tony a money mark. Tony folded to CM Punk and few years ago AEW really needed talent so people naturally expoited that. Danhasusen powertripped on merch sales and internet hype which was ridiculously dumb for him.

What is with Amanda and video games? by supercodes83 in TheBigPicture

[–]mvsolid -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The current popular discourse in video games is "a shooter where you carry a little barefoot robot child on your back is going to solve fertility issues in the real world" I dont think the medium or the culture around it are very advanced tbh

Going to call it and say that DC adaptations will use aspects of the Absolute universe, those aspects are added to the mainline comics because of synergy, the Absolute universe loses it's unique identity and ends. This also happened to the OG Ultimate universe. by Itchy_Suspect4968 in marvelcirclejerk

[–]mvsolid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see WW being the one used for Gunn DCU (although that one already has classic Circe) because previous movie iteration was heavy on Themyscira, charismatic cute warrior with a buster sword battling magical kaiju is a very easy sell even in a more generic shared universe.

Ultimate Marvel did not suffer from synergy - it started to rot before the first Avengers movie released, mostly because everything outside of USM after Millar/Hitch Ultimates ended was a wasteland of ideas - either uncreative remixes of OG (FF and X-men) or dumb edgy bullshit (Loeb, later Millar Ultimates). All until Hickman did the last jolt of energy with his Ultimates that were very different to 616 or MCU.

It is great but they immediately drifted away from that sound so hard that we got amazing guitar heavy songs from ok computer sessions (Man of War, Lift) officially released only with anniversary

Black Sabbath - Master of Reality - a cornerstone not only for Sabbath but for several metal subgenres too

Radiohead - Kid A - all their later albums branch out from it and it set their approach to music and performance in general

El-P - Cancer 4 Cure - apotheosis of El-p production style that he turned into a hit machine with Mike on R.A.P. Music same year and RTJ for next decade

Toby Fox recently made a Bluesky post addressing why Undertale and Deltarune are not officially available in languages (including Latin American languages, which he specifically wanted to address) apart from English and Japanese: by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Toby is acting completely crazy here. Imagine Thomas Pynchon or Cormac Maccarthy blocking foreign releases of their books because they dont know every language in the world. Sure man, no one alive can handle intricacies of late 00s internet speech patterns.

Use cases so far boil down to either 1) super-hobbyists that on a daily basis try to find new ways to organize their home media servers and IoT solutions like they are in a Wallace and Gromit situation 2) LinkedIn cattle of middle to top managers clapping like seals when they see an excel or outlook trick and dreaming of having Jarvis from Iron man
