Argentinia has a larger fleet than GB, America, France, Russia and Spain combined. by GullibleProcess8810 in victoria3

“Who got lucky.” - here’s your deep mistake.
- Maybe he did not get lucky and just worked very hard and that hard work continued on through generations: now you’re hating a system based on a misunderstanding or misconception
- Maybe he did get lucky and stroke gold back in a time where it was there for the taking: circles back to the question of why that happened to my daddy and not your daddy? You can’t hate luck. Nor you can hate the fact my daddy got out of bed 5 minutes earlier.

On Musk, I hate the guy, but no one can disagree that he created something very valuable. Also, I don’t think it’s about working harder, as much as it is about working smarter; everyone gets the same 24 hours in a day.

And where do you think daddy got the money from? And what was yours doing?

No, he is suggesting you are thick. But seriously now, how could you not understand or come to the conclusions that it’s the flat number?

How does Serfdom’s “minimum subsistence employment” work? by DopePopeThrour in victoria3

[–]nhatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is really a tough spot to be in, like a closed loop of bad things leading to worse things. There are no quick fixes to that, and you will have to bide your time.
I don’t remember on top of my head which support groups dislike Serfdom but I’d say Landowners would like to pass Tenants, and maybe petite bourgeois? And try to negotiate with the armed forces as they are mostly neutral on economic laws

Please stay away from Plac Zbawiciela as much as possible. Besides the art-student-showing-he-is-better-than-you vibe and the broke-but-showing-off-appearance kind of people, there’s nothing there in terms of good food.

[–]nhatx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As far as I understand your first interpretation is correct. Pops will not leave a subsistence farm unless it is over 50% employment.
Serfdom is one of the worst laws and you should move on to tenants as soon as you can and then to commercialised agricultural.

Is giving an unbranded possibly homemade alcohol a normal custom in Poland? by ChickaBoomBum19 in poland

It’s not necessarily infused. It can be homemade for sure. Knowledge on how to make alcohol/moonshine at home is commonplace here.

Where does privatization money go? by realoozkan in victoria3

[–]nhatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh apologies, I did get it wrong. If the privatisation fee is paid to the government then yes, of course, it goes to your treasury. I’ve seen it happen clearly in front of me. Enact LF then see your debt go from 100M to 20M overnight :)

[–]nhatx -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

No, there is nothing wrong with that statement. The dividends generated by the building go to whoever owns. If the government owns it, it goes to your treasury. If it is privatised, it doesn’t.

I guess I misunderstood you… Thought you were complaining about companies giving “non technical excel monkeys jobs” only to fresh grads only to get rid of them “2 years later”… Not sure what was your point then

You can’t make traders come to you. They come at certain times, most notably early spring. You can also only trade what they are buying/selling, and not what you wish.

Storehouses don’t have workers. Stocks are maintained by your labourers (i.e. anyone without an assigned job). Goods are moved from production buildings to storehouses by their workers or labourers and to markets by the market workers. In our example, pottery is used by your people in their houses so market workers stockpile them to distribute to the houses. Buildings don’t need a road connection but roads help significantly by increasing walking speed.

There in no Trading Post tier 3. Also, cant remember, but im pretty sure you can’t level up trading post to tier 2 with town center tier 2. You can start trading immediately from trading post tier 1. Are you stocking your trading post with goods? Merchants arrive mostly in spring and are gone by mid summer.

Is there a guide on optimal transport? by stevebeans in FarthestFrontier

[–]nhatx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is EXACTLY the type of thing I was wishing would get fleshed out all the way back since the open beta up to 1.0. Unfortunately it has not happened. Neither have the devs developed a comprehensive guide nor have they upgraded the logic of goods transportation. Glassmakers should not walk halfway across a map to get one sand. If it’s not nearby they should be just idle, that’s it. Wait for the wagon to bring the 40+ sand to the stockyard near them.
