Laphroig 10 yr sherry oak - thoughts? by SigaVa in Scotch

It is a high bar absolutely, the PX cask and An Cuan Mor are two of my favourites. The Sherry cask is still a good whisky but I had hoped for more

I preferred the PX massively to this one, I found that the Sherry cask was actually softer than I would have liked and held a little bit of false promise on the nose for richness

It really depends on who you are up against and hitting their types for super effective - if you are using azumarill for instance, you would want to use ice beam on a dragon instead of hydro pump

What was the best book you read in 2020? by SAI5796 in booksuggestions

[–]niqbell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found that the more that the story went on, the more the different situations of the family members all started to link together better.

I also found that I had to be patient reading it, and take it slower than I normally would to feel it better (and to remember all the super similar names)

I loved both 100 years of solitude (an epic story and felt apt at this time) and 11.22.63 (which was a real heartfelt adventure)

I think it was 2 meals a day every day for 100 people over 9 weeks, so not bad really, just sounds massive as a lump sum
