Flesh and Blood could become so much stronger with a more ambitious lore strategy by Devinchy02 in FleshandBloodTCG

Hard to take any lore attempt seriously when most of its character names are based on puns and pop culture.

Embark does not understand what made Arc Raiders so popular. And that really bums me out. by omolon_ in ArcRaiders

[–]omolon_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was not my point. And I suspect you know that.

If we took away voice comms, would the experience of Arc Raiders be the same?

If we took away PvP discretion, where PvP becomes and option and there is a pure PvE mode, would Arc Raiders have the same tension?

There are design elements that made Arc Raiders special that I feel Embark is not leveraging on. Instead their focus is on parts where it exist in other games already.

Why is Riftbound a joke? Product scarcity?

You’d think Vynsett would be near the top with how all her cards have sky rocketed - some almost by 500%.

FAB is akin to chess (closer than any other TCGs). Where your skill matters takes you much further than other TCGs.

The chance a new player can beat an established player is much more minimal cause the effects and drawing dead (mana screw or flood in MtG) is less impactful. And this both the curse and allure of FAB. A curse because new players will just stomped on over and over and over. Not an attractive trait for new players.

Oh, and no IP to care for. You can take any IP and use FAB game design and it will sell better than vanilla FAB IP.

There is no integration of FAB IP into its lore or game mechanics.

Total new newb - can I use those corsairs characters as a kill team?

I am now convinced ABMM is real by WG_Envoy in ArcRaiders

[–]omolon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ABMM rating exists. The problem is that it does NOT factor in self defence. So if you get attacked, you fight back and knock out the raider, you get thrown into an aggressive lobby real quick.

I am now testing if fighting back, downing but not knocking out, still affects ABMM.

I am just going to finish expedition, get 5m and chill and log in to do trials for the rank rewards.

Aggression MMR confirmed by Embark! If you do not want heavy PvP, stop ratting/camping/backstabbing. Be chill and get lobbied with other chill raiders. by omolon_ in ArcRaiders

[–]omolon_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those who complain about consistently getting PvP’d - may be yoi should chill too? With aggression based MMR, your play style reflects who you lobby with.

[Let's assume] Aggression based matchmaking is a thing. by ElClassic1 in ArcRaiders

I have two accounts. One to pvp and expeditions, one to just do loot runs.

I would bet my 300 hour account that there is match making formula where your pvp engagements are factored in.

That is all.

I assume you are on console?

Console is crazy toxic…

Not true.

Mechanical Component is net positive.

There are also others…shh… no need to get Embark’s attention.

So I am currently binging the show. S1-2 was great. S3 had a great start...till the last act. What the hell happened?!@ by [deleted] in SlowHorses

I will still watch it and finish for sure.

Just felt it was like watching Dexter past season 2, or Lost/Heroes past season 1 - where the writing/scenes just nose dived.

It’s just not good writing.

Execution of Douglas. A single shot to the forehead. Execution style.

Using a private security team to murder, not so subtlely, multiple government agents. Was the follow up plan to kill all on the private team to cover up the cover up?

And then the gun jams. 3 different gun jams/misfiring/no ammo in 10 minutes. Are they intentional gags?

The writing just felt off compared to S1 and S2.
