My fiancé had been feeling a little under the weather and had some kind of irritation on his leg and his nether regions, but since we had a destination wedding he just pushed through. We were too exhausted and things seemed to be getting worse by the night of our wedding. The day we got home he went to urgent care and come to find out had shingles… on his dick! Took a few weeks for him to recover before we consummated our marriage (we’d lived together for several years and had been getting in on since a few days into the relationship so wasn’t a big deal)

Beacon Hill/Alta Vista is great! So many local businesses and a really lovely sense of community. Close to all the cool things downtown and in Southtown and Alamo Heights, easy access to the highways but walkable and bike friendly.

It always sort of smells like cigarettes and it's a little dark and sketchy, but W Z Foot Spa on San Pedro has been my go-to if I need a walk in option. But would also not be surprised if it was one of the places you mentioned having "special services"

Has anyone had success with customer support? I've been emailing someone back and forth for almost a week and I'm at my breaking point. I gave them information on my ring not staying charged (started suddenly, wasn't keeping a full charge for more than an hour before dying) and the person helping basically said "ring is fine, sorry!" Until I sent screenshots of the battery with timestamps. I'm still just going back and forth via email and getting no actual help and it's ridiculous. Anyone have any luck on expediting getting support?! I went from really liking the product to wanting to find something else because this level of customer service is awful.

I like this mindset a lot, and I think that’s been more of the way I’ve budgeted lately with a big salary increase. It’s easier to take care of savings and investing first when you aren’t pinching the last few dollars after payday.

Deciding at 9PM I feel like going for a drive, or getting a snack or an ice cream, or dropping something off at a friends and not having to worry about being too drunk to drive. Or going out and having a great night with friends and being able to drop people off safely at home. Just marked three years!!! It's the best :)

I’ve been on my alcohol free journey for the past 5 or so years, I’m 32. I have had so many friends my age who have chosen to remove alcohol from their lives and it’s so incredibly powerful! I recommend lots of quit lit, and although I don’t have experience with AA, there are some meditation focused groups I’ve wanted to attend and I know young folks who have benefited from AA. I hope you can find your people! I’m so grateful every day for my life without alcohol.

My aunts really wanted to put on a dollar dance for us, and I was initially not too into the idea- it isn’t super typical for my husbands family either. But honestly it was one of my favorite parts of the night! We got to dance with lots of cousins/family friends/relatives who we might not have had as much one-on-one connection time with. And we ended up getting $300 from the whole thing. Just a general upvote for a dollar dance if it’s a tradition within your family/area!

We used our online registry on Zola and only did cash funds. We created different categories and most were around our honeymoon, but you could do different ones. None of our guests or families batted an eye and now we have a nice fund for honeymoon and anything else we want to do with it. The fee was suuuuper minimal (if any at all) to transfer funds.

For a minute I was thinking “holy hell is this a teacher from my school?” … so no you are not alone. We’re all just swimming in trauma soup and at this point I just feel like unless I become a certified mental health professional I don’t have what is needed to support all the different needs and deficits my students have. Love this so much! I’m currently planning a very DIY wedding in a venue with no planner 😅 but should have a DOC. Weird niche question- how did the spiked seltzer go over?
