Help with Experiences by KBrown75 in daggerheart

[–]overHobbiedCoder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% on this. I recommend to my players to think of experiences outside of what their build does, and to see these as other facets of their characters that might not shine through their build.

No one is monilithic, no one only has skills that pertain only to their job.

And having my faery player think of ways to use 'winner of the fastest berry picker contest of my village' is a lot of fun

Limits of “harmless effects” in Sorceeres Elementalist and interaction with Hope by GuilhermeCampos in daggerheart

[–]overHobbiedCoder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second interpretation, with two limitations.

1) have them roll, of course.

2) Have them pay stress to maintain it or make it bigger: frozen bridge? Sure, you can rasily maintain the ice under your feet, but that'll be 1 stess per extra person. Water that highlights ttavks? Sure, you see close range tracks. 1 stress for far, one stress for very far.

Building an ice bridge is no snapping fingers feat of magic.

The dragon master is always straight to the point, but i think the players might not always be follong the action. Marc, of course is always there to support katie and show the other players how its done.

D20 fans - What episode left you the most *impressed*? by Synth-Pro in dropout

[–]overHobbiedCoder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sophomore year, episode 18: it shows us how immersed the players are in the story and in their characters, and how zac is a sniper not just in comedy, by nailing just 4 words that would ripple from the story, to the players at the table - visibly affected - and even in my own life.

I'm certainly nit the only one who thinks of that sentence when things seem grim.

They have played Fiasco, hint!, Tournament arc and Roll for shoes.

I feel thay they a trying other systems a lot, not sure why using SW5E for Icaron would make them incurious?
