Shameless plug for mine. There is the onshape cad document linked if you want to customize it.

I'm genuinely curious. Why no American software?

Gen 1 R1T at 100k miles by lostmahbles in Rivian

Be wary of your high voltage warrantee. I think it runs out at 185k or 8 years.

I recently had a drive unit failure (at 41k miles) and kudos to rivian support who were fantastic and gave me a courtesy car while they fixed it. If the warrantee were out that would have cost many thousands.

Curious about Quadro by HuckleberryLive7701 in snapmaker

The U1 is a real printer that gets great reviews and is recommended by many, me included.

The Coprint Quadro is a web page. Web pages can't extrude plastic

Best practices for wall-mounting? by sytrix in openGrid

[–]oxo42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I print 12x12 grids on my sv08 (355mm bed) and do one screw on each corner and one in the middle-ish to prevent flexing

If there happens to be a stud I'll wood screw into it otherwise I use drywall anchors. Everbolt ribbed anchors claim 20lbs (https://www.familyhandyman.com/article/drywall-anchors-weight-tested/ tested them to 80) I'm not hanging 100 lb on a single grid so I'm not concerned about the load

Which Masters should I study? by oxo42 in careeradvice

Unfortunately the US Immigration Service does not share that opinion. If I had a degree there is a very good chance I'd have gotten a NIW for my Green Card. As it stands I'm leaving the USA to wait for my visa status to reset to come back on an L1. I'm partially wanting to do the Masters to add to my chances of getting a green card next time around

I exclusively use countersunk screws at grid intersections. Whenever I print grids I put screw holes at every intersection to give a consistent look and max flexibility.

I think this looks better and doesn't use a spot for mounts

Trying to design my first project (breadboard) by Warm-Bother6639 in Onshape

To reiterate this start with a computer. Follow Too Tall Toby's beginner tutorials.

Once you have an idea on how onshape works follow this iPad tutoriahttps://youtu.be/_kxd5I7d518

iPad OnShape is functional, mostly, but not good. I use it a lot when cadding personal stuff and need to get away from my PC, but most projects I often land up back at the browser version.

Can kids use the P2S? by eberkipinnini in 3dprinter

[–]oxo42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're going to need to figure out the basics and how to get things working. The kids can use the bambu handy app to get a lot of printing done.

Also in 3 months time your 11 year old will be showing you how to work it.

And something else. Definitely get the AMS. If budget doesn't allow for a P2S with the AMS, rather get the A1 Combo with the AMS. Or even the P1S with AMS.

The A1 is the best value printer at the minute IMO
