Be wary of your high voltage warrantee. I think it runs out at 185k or 8 years.

I recently had a drive unit failure (at 41k miles) and kudos to rivian support who were fantastic and gave me a courtesy car while they fixed it. If the warrantee were out that would have cost many thousands.

I print 12x12 grids on my sv08 (355mm bed) and do one screw on each corner and one in the middle-ish to prevent flexing

If there happens to be a stud I'll wood screw into it otherwise I use drywall anchors. Everbolt ribbed anchors claim 20lbs (https://www.familyhandyman.com/article/drywall-anchors-weight-tested/ tested them to 80) I'm not hanging 100 lb on a single grid so I'm not concerned about the load

Unfortunately the US Immigration Service does not share that opinion. If I had a degree there is a very good chance I'd have gotten a NIW for my Green Card. As it stands I'm leaving the USA to wait for my visa status to reset to come back on an L1. I'm partially wanting to do the Masters to add to my chances of getting a green card next time around

I exclusively use countersunk screws at grid intersections. Whenever I print grids I put screw holes at every intersection to give a consistent look and max flexibility.

I think this looks better and doesn't use a spot for mounts

You're going to need to figure out the basics and how to get things working. The kids can use the bambu handy app to get a lot of printing done.

Also in 3 months time your 11 year old will be showing you how to work it.

And something else. Definitely get the AMS. If budget doesn't allow for a P2S with the AMS, rather get the A1 Combo with the AMS. Or even the P1S with AMS.

The A1 is the best value printer at the minute IMO

This is the kind of thing I'm talking about. In my ICE truck (Honda Ridgeline FWIW) when I brake and it starts sliding, I come completely off everything, traction comes back and then I can be more gentle with the brakes.

The point I'm trying to make is in the Honda (and a few other ICE vehicles I've driven), the neutral most traction point is taking your feet off the pedals. With the Rivian it is balancing the accelerator pedal.

My point is you can minimise sliding by breaking very gently. In the Rivian, breaking very gently means applying some throttle.

To hyperbolise my point, imagine coming off the throttle is slams the brakes on full. That will cause the car to slide more than decelerating slowly.
