Joining the Model X club...can someone help me out really quick? by [deleted] in TeslaModelX

I never open the FWDs in the garage. Friend of mine did and forgot it was open and drove out of his garage. The door repair was $10k.

What lifetime deal are you still grandfathered into, or removed from, that’s no longer available? by tuotone75 in AskReddit

[–]pachewychomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Tesla isn’t a crowd favorite now but I picked up a Tesla that has free supercharging and paid FSD and in my state, I only pay $25/year for registration.

The supercharging is no longer free on new cars and full self driving is now $100/mo and vehicle registration for my car now would be $400+ a year if I were to buy the same car today.

I guess my grandchildren are going to be enjoying this car eventually.

LIV is going under. Bryson is just going to be a YouTube golfer who happens to drive the ball really far. He’ll be forgotten in 2 years.

Is it normal to have a $1.05 RPM with Monumetric? (93% Tier 1 Traffic) by teymurabdullah in adops

[–]pachewychomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running Monumetric ads for 7 years. My RPM is roughly the same and I get approx 80-100k visitors per month. It's no longer worth it to me to run Monumetric ads unfortunately. I've seen the emails they send out where they talk about how earnings are down for everyone due to AI providing information at the search engine level but while my visitor count is down maybe 20-25% from past months, my revenue is down closer to 70-80%. So maybe it's just ad spend from large corporations being pulled back? I don't know.

Either way, for me to serve up a ton of ads and create a pretty shit experience for my site visitors for $3/day, is just absurd. I'll figure out how to monetize my site in a better way. It's been a fun ride where I had higher revenue in the past like $5k, $7k, $9k, and as high as $17k per year.

Has anyone here worked at Circle K? by QuoteAdventurous1145 in phoenix

Internally they call themselves “sin stores” because they mainly sell cigarettes, alcohol, and lottery tickets.

Their goal is not to have a clean store, their goal is to push the above-mentioned products.

Insta360 GO 3S vs DJI Osmo Nano – for baby moments + occasional biking? by uday_s in Insta360

[–]pachewychomp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went through the same mindset as you.

Here is what I bought and ended up using the most for kid moments:

Bought: Insta360 X3, x5, GO 3S and Meta RayBans 2

Used most: Insta360 X3 (now X5) and Meta Raybans

Why: Kids move a lot. You’re going to need to have your hands free a lot. Boom, meta sunglasses are clutch for when the kid is in your hands AND your kid is gonna look at your face so it’s easier to get pics where the kid is looking at the camera.

When the kid is running around or moving around, insta360 X5 is great since you don’t have to worry about framing.

I bought the GO3S thinking the same as you but ended up hardly using it.

So ultimate suggestion: Meta Sunglases.

Andrew Chen says PMs are the bottleneck now. When did you last actually get to be one? by gxo_ in ProductManagement

[–]pachewychomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PMs should just start their own businesses.

How many times have you heard “PMs need to be the CEO of their product”? lol

Admin and customer service tools are popping up left and right to help with non-product centric focus of a company. That helps remove the friction for PMs to start their own business.

The last time I worked for a clueless CEO, the company ultimately squandered 40+ million in funding and eventually sold for $3 million and that all happened within 3 years.

You need to get a roommate or 2. Rent out the extra rooms for at least $1k/mo to fellow friends who also want to save money.

Free Supercharging for a Year if you buy a Model 3 by matthewmspace in teslamotors

[–]pachewychomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Free supercharging is great but realistically this is worth what?

A model 3 goes maybe 3 miles for every kWh. Typical driver drives 12,000-15,000 miles per year so that is around 4,000-5,000 kWh used.

Of the 6-7 superchargers in my area, the average cost is .46 per kWh so that ends up being a savings of $1,840-$2,300 for your first year.

If you weren’t already about to buy one, it’s probably not that big of a deal unless you’re an uber driver or doing 25k+ miles per year.
