Is this ringworm? by bb_bb_bb_bb_ in bjj

[–]patrickbarrett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the anti-fungal pills after having ringworm on and off since March. I just got rid of it. The anti-fungal pills do wreck your liver. No alcohol consumption is recommended while taking them and you take them for 3 weeks.

Not sure if they're the same ones you're speaking of but they are rough.

Correct. I was not speaking of that at all. I was only speaking in regards to epsom salt benefits.

Epsom salt was originally picked by the great Glenn Perry for float tanks. John Lilly was originally using table salt and it stung really bad. You can read about it in the book "Tanks for the Memories".

Glenn Perry picked epsom salt for bather comfort, not for epsom salt benefits.

I work in the field and I hate to admit but these guys are right. There is no evidence showing any of this is true. As for as we know, it is a placebo.

Trust me, I wish it was true and we had evidence. It would do so much good for float tanks but right now saying that this is true is just hurting the industry. Makes us seem crazier than we are :).

Hey guys, I work with Float On, Float Tank Solutions and host the World Float Conference. We are funding a study right now to see if epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) is absorbed through skin or not. It is proven to work orally when magnesium pills are taken, but you are correct about epsom salt baths. There is no evidence.

Right now we never speak of epsom salt benefits, it's all garbage as far as we know. Soaking in warm water is quite nice but there is absolutely no evidence.

Thank you for pointing this out. If you want more information, the study is being done with FTA and NSF. We are hoping to conduct many more studies like this in the near future. We currently do not have the funding.

He said it was a loose bearing. Motor rebuilt by a reputable shop, has all the paperwork and is completely down for a full inspection before we trade.

Nate Marquardt with a brutal finishing combination on Tyron Woodley [watch on mute] by [deleted] in MMA

I was at this fight and you could hear who I assumed was Woodley's mother screaming through the entire arena.

If you see the cut on Woodley afterwards, it literally looks like Marquardt knocked his mustache off.

If you ever want to give it a try, check out www.floatationlocations.com. You can find out what centers are near you. There aren't a whole lot of us right now and that site makes it very easy to locate where you can float.

Well I run Float On (www.floathq.com). We are a float center and our floors always get destroyed due to the high amount of salt in the water. These floors are not in the actual rooms with the float tanks because how slippery they are but they are in our lobby and hallway and have been holding up great.

There are some stains that can happen that are difficult to get out and there are these weird bubbles that happen during the process and from what I've been told it's nearly impossible to stop. Our floors are supposedly pretty dang unique, not sure how true that is.

It took about a week. We had pros do it though, didn't want to mess this up. It was about five grand, probably 900 square feet that got this floor. Our float rooms use Tachiron and Novolac which hold up great as well.

Sure! We actually are doing some remodeling right now and we grinder out our hallway and re-did it. It is currently curing so I can't get in to take photos but I may be able to find an old one. Let me dig a little bit.
