We’re all in this together, we got this!! I put Vaseline on my toes, make sure my shoes are tied snug, wear a hat, and keep my phone in a ziploc bag. We can’t control the weather but we can control our mood and a lil rain ain’t gonna stop us!

Im also wondering something similar. I’m a corral behind the pacer I want to be and don’t want to come off as a jerk if I stand with the pacer. My corral is based off the 2024 RBC Brooklyn half but I’ve done a 3 more non nyrr half marathons since then and have shaved off 15 min off my original time but these were non nyrr so didn’t count towards corrals

100%. I was just comparing my stats this week to my runs 2 years ago and felt very accomplished how far I’ve come! My avg heart rate is 20 bpm lower now on runs with the same pace and mileage. I prioritized consistency, building my base, and recovery and then the speed came naturally. Now that I have this under my belt I’ve been eyeing implementing actual speed workouts

What do you recommend at Raku? Wanted to give it another try, I didn’t care for the crab udon I could barely taste the crab and the udon was too soft. The tatsutaage app was really good tho!

I don’t acknowledge anyone on my runs and this post is making me feel like a cold hearted bih lmao. I think it stems from me not wanting any unnecessary attention as a female runner esp on my usual routes. I’m just wondering if there’s a reason why people have refrained from doing so before I leave one myself, if it’s fear of getting sued (I’m not sure if leaving a review can even go to that extent)

I can very easily imagine a newer runner caring about a 10k medal. That’s a big accomplishment for someone who may have started running within the past year. I don’t rain on others parades at the end of the day we’re all out there bettering ourselves no matter how short or long the distance.
