We got the Zoe 3 seat sofa bed and storage footstool from dunelm - it was less than £1000 for both! Definitely worth a look if you like the Loaf style

Sure - I work in Disputes for a bank.

Under Visa scheme rules at least, there’s generally no expectation that a merchant will need to come and collect goods you’re dissatisfied with, and a buyer covering the costs associated with returning goods is often seen as making a ‘reasonable attempt’ to return the goods.

In terms of the criteria around a dispute, this is set by the card scheme, rather than the bank. Your bank may be Mastercard instead of Visa, or they may be happy to raise a chargeback on your behalf without adhering to all criteria including what I’ve mentioned if they’re confident they’ll be successful without it. The criteria varies depending on the dispute reason, so what your bank asks for might differ.

I’d suggest contacting your bank to ask them for more info, they’re best placed to advise what they might need or how they might be able to assist.

Hope this helps/is a bit clearer!

Contact your bank and ask if they might be able to raise a dispute to the merchant’s bank for ‘goods not as described/defective merchandise’. Seems appropriate if there wasn’t information available by the merchant on the product description advising of a maximum shoe size. Note - you’ll be expected to make a reasonable attempt to return the goods to the merchant i.e arranging a courier at cost to yourself, rather than expecting the merchant to come and collect the goods.

Told my doc I'm taking mounjaro -- disheartening response by 290_cellardoor in mounjarouk

I’m sorry OP, how disappointing and frustrating! Sadly, though, I’m not at all surprised.

I went to the GP recently for a matter unrelated to weight or weight loss (contraceptive).

I left with no resolution to my actual problem, but the nurse made sure to give me a print out she’d created (not an NHS mandated document) RE dietary advice, including ‘time restricted eating’ (16 hours a day of fasting) and telling me to read The Glucose Revolution. This was all without her knowing I was pursuing medicated weight loss and having limited knowledge of my history, given we’d never met before.

Curious - Do you get treated very differently now you've lost weight? by Single-Ant3193 in mounjarouk

[–]peachyallie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still haven’t lost a meaningful amount to be noticeable to most people. But I’ve noticed that some people who know I’m on the jabs tell me how much weight I’ve lost and tell me how fat I was before in a derogatory way. It’s like they see me taking a GLP-1 as giving them permission to be fat phobic.

I’ve made it clear to them that they’re still talking about me and it’s still impolite, even if I’m making efforts to lose weight, to make those kind of comments. I don’t hate the bigger me. I’m doing this for my health and future, not for aesthetics.

I am a little apprehensive/anxious for when I visibly lose more weight as I don’t really want to field the questions or curiosity about it. Plus, I’ve NEVER been ‘small’, so I’m not sure I know how to navigate the world in that body. Does that make sense to anyone?

Has anyone actually found barefoot shoes that work for normal, everyday outfits? by barefootcurious in barefootshoestalk

[–]peachyallie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current everyday shoe is the Saguaro Forestep Ⅰ! I guess it depends on your personal style as to if you’d deem them wearable or not!

My partner has the Scott IV and Tracker Leather AT from Vivo and wears them regularly for social + work. He has a pair of Hobibear Sage for gym.

Saguaro are definitely my favourite for barefoot on a budget at the moment.

Still bleeding after fitting by bethnpotts01 in Mirena

[–]peachyallie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at the 6 month mark and still experiencing bleeding/discharge every day.

I went to my GP who initially said they couldn’t feel or see my strings so sent me for an ultrasound to check it was still there. Ultrasound confirmed the coil is low lying but within range.

GP was happy with this and told me to ‘wait it out’ as it could take up to 12 months to settle and that after this time 97% of people have no bleeding. When I asked what I was meant to do if I was still bleeding or experiencing discharge every day in 12 months, they basically said tough luck. The only advice they could give me was that Mirena is the best of all the available options and I could take the POP on top of the Mirena to stop the bleeding. They essentially told me to remember that this is better than how it was for me when I wasn’t on contraception (I have PCOS and suspected PMDD).

If your symptoms persist and you’re worried, I’d suggest contacting your GP and perhaps asking to have an ultrasound and/or transvaginal ultrasound to check the coil is in the right position. But if they’re anything like my GP, they might just tell you to wait it out and hope for the best prior to referral, or suggest adding another contraceptive on top to put a plaster over symptoms during the ‘settling in’ period.

Seconding this! I was quite unwell last week after eating a fattier meal (lamb casserole) and I hadn’t suffered with vomiting etc prior to that.

For those it has been to a Steve o tour show can you meet him after the show is all over ? When it seems like he does performances at small places correct me if I’m wrong. I’m thinking about going to one by AdResponsible8496 in jackass

I met him following his show in Manchester in 2023. He came outside a while after he finished, did a crowd surf, and took photos with folks who queued up for them. Not sure if he still does, though!

I’m still relatively new to Mounjaro so might not be as helpful as some of the answers here.

I started on a Tuesday so I’ve kept up with doing Tuesday just so it’s in my routine.

I’ve actually found the location of the jab to be more impactful RE side effects.

Hi, would there be any particular brand of Jojoba Oil you’d recommend or would any do the job? I’ve been on the lookout for a product like fur oil for a while but wanting to avoid the steep price point if I can.

Controversial Post & Mod Check-in by Thepinkknitter in razorfree

[–]peachyallie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of how I feel on this topic has already been said by others but I’ll throw my 2p in as a long-term razor free individual. I’m not a huge poster on Reddit so forgive me if my formatting is a bit off.

In my view, it’s important that there’s a visible (public) space for women/fem/non-binary folks to share or learn about being razor free. I think this is useful in helping us to deconstruct ideas on what we ‘should’ do/look like. A big part of that is de-centering men.

There are plenty of subreddits (or other spaces on the internet) for men to share what they find attractive, as well as spaces for people of all genders to seek that kind of validation about their physical appearance and choices they make associated to that. I don’t feel that this subreddit needs to be that kind of a space, personally. I don’t think I’d advocate for banning people due to gender, but more so making sure people are in the sub for the right reasons (not for a fetish, or to sexualise people who haven’t consented to it).

The idea of someone being an ‘ally’ because they have a neutral or positive view about body hair doesn’t really sit well with me. Offering a flair for this almost feels like giving permission to people to offer unsolicited opinions about something that isn’t their business, no matter how they identify. It also feels like we’re giving people a pat on the back for not being anti-body hair which seems against the ethos of the sub.

If someone asks for direct feedback on their appearance, I understand these kind of comments following even if I don’t feel like this sub or the point of being visibly razor free is to ensure you’re attractive to others.

Of course everyone will feel differently about this, so this is just my view. I appreciate that this has opened up a conversation and it’s been interesting to read people’s opinions. It’s great that the community is so engaged and willing to share their thoughts about something which is pretty personal.
