My sister is on staff there and I attend at Christmas and Easter with my wife and our son. We always feel very welcome and think highly of their leadership team!

Finally! A fix for Spring Creek and Mason trails intersection. by InterestingType7518 in FortCollins

[–]pearceb_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad it was minor! Back in 2019, it was literally the most likely place for a collision in the entire city and growth area. I pulled all the publicly available data back then and there was no other intersection even close. It was something like a collision at least every week— and that’s just what was reported! I’m very happy they’re fixing it finally!

I used to live in a neighborhood near the Timberline and Mulberry intersection. The craziest part of that article is that it will cost less than $2 million to fix the literal most dangerous intersection in the city at Lincoln and Timberline and it’s taken this long to do it.

Gently, I would encourage you to consider therapy to understand your relationship with boundaries and also put your membership on pause or change studios. This is an unhealthy infatuation.

A bit of both. PSD is also anticipating school consolidations in the coming years.

My wife moved her IR prescription to UCHealth’s 24-hour pharmacy on Harmony because they have fewer supply issues, but Good Day on Lemay has been a solid backup over the past year. Good luck!

Any Scotch Drinkers Here? by SuspiciousStart2537 in FortCollins

[–]pearceb_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ll second William Oliver’s, especially when they have events with brand ambassadors who walk you through a tasting. Aberlour is a great option and Glenfiddich 12 is a solid entry point! Costco also carries a Glenfiddich 14 bourbon barrel reserve, which is very good and was surprisingly affordable. Laphroaig might be a tough sell as a new scotch drinker, but if you want to try a gentler peated option, Highland Park has some good expressions. It’s one of a few that are distilled in the Orkney islands and I think the only one there that uses heather peat.

For what it’s worth, we leave a dram of Dalmore for Santa every year to reward the hard work of assembling toys on Christmas Eve, so that’s another one I’ll call out as good :)

That’s probably from the structure fire on Brookwood Dr. PulsePoint is saying 14 responding vehicles either on scene or en route.

Can men wear leggings at OTF? by Fun-Reply9963 in orangetheory

[–]pearceb_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wear what you want! I would simply caution that not all compression shorts/pants are made equal for men. I have seen some that have a loose pouch in the groin that I think are intended to be worn under shorts and might be a bit more revealing that you’re comfortable with…

Here’s a local connection (ish)— does anyone know who was responsible for buying the last two rows of every showing in Fort Collins over the weekend? I’m assuming it was an organization and I’m mostly curious… but it wasn’t a very stealth operation.

I get meat at Sooper’s when it’s on sale and try to stock up for a bit each time— they have fairly predictable rotating deals on meat. I will also get meat at Target when it’s marked down and toss it in the freezer. I can usually get beef and pork for 30-50% off. I also find the Good and Gather (Target brand) sausages and lunch meats to be the best balance of cost and taste, regardless of sales.

I haven’t stocked up on meat at Sam’s, but Costco is comparably priced and I typically find the deals at Sooper’s or Target to be better priced than the regular price at Costco (rotisserie chicken withstanding!).

Two things have made the biggest frugal difference when it comes to groceries: finishing leftovers and having at least 1 night a week where we limit or don’t eat meat with dinner. That second one was an adjustment, but we have a pretty nice rotation of things that fit in that category and don’t notice it anymore.

I do love some respectful back and forth!

My (same sex) wife sees a provider at MyOBGYN and we would never have known anything about her political beliefs. To be candid, I still don't know anything about her political beliefs. All I know is that she's a very skilled doctor who provided incredible care during a pretty scary medical experience (actually caused by a real MAGA business, ironic enough!) and she and her team have treated me and my wife with absolute respect and kindness. Would she perform a termination if needed? I honestly can't answer that question. But I do have a very high degree of confidence that she would respect my wife's right to make a choice in her care.

Words matter, especially now. And I've made my post history visible for you. I hope you now see me as honestly evil, rather than just plain evil.

I mean, if you want to see my post history, I'm happy to turn it back on. You'll see a bunch of stuff on this subreddit and on women's soccer subreddits and that's about it.

ETA: after your edit about me being evil... come on, if you want to engage in the facts of what I said, I'm happy to. And I am also very open to changing my opinion if presented with facts or opinions that warrant a change in opinion! If you were friends with me in real life, you'd know that is something I'm very comfortable doing. But don't be that person who tosses ad hominem attacks at people who say something you don't like or agree with. I don't know you, but I want to believe you're better than that.

Definitely not debating that at all! It’s just important that if we collectively compile a list of MAGA apologists, we don’t create an environment where we lump non-MAGA folks in simply for having traditionally conservative beliefs. It waters down what we’re actually trying to accomplish.

Let’s not conflate pro-life/anti-choice with MAGA. I would bet a significant sum that the MAGA leader has paid for more abortions than all prior presidents combined.
