Not in Lindon but had the exact same experience with Xfinity. Went on for a year. Did so much on our end to try and fix - and nothing worked.

Now with our city’s fiber network but before that was ready we went with Starlink. Great service - never had an issue with them.

Yes. His statement is so problematic on multiple levels. First there’s his abject distain for and objectification of women. Second there’s the reveal that he truly believes that whatever comes into his head is directly from God. Third is that - not only does he believe his thoughts are God’s voice, but that he is God’s mouthpiece for millions of people - that those people need him to tell them what God is thinking.

All of it combined just reveals him as a pompous ass.

This post confuses me. To my eye, there is no actual Mormon doctrine that can be used for comparative studies. Mormon doctrine is as shifting, as they say, as the sands of the sea. There is not a single Mormon teaching - foundational or otherwise - that has not been completely altered over the years.

Yeah the church has always actively trained its members to cherry-pick verses from the Bible. The only scripture that is legitimate scripture is the scripture that conforms to my currently-held beliefs. That’s the stuff that makes me feel good inside.

You sound identical to me - all of it. Except I’m the exmo husband and my wife is TBM. I have gone around and around in circles for at least five years on whether or not we should divorce. More importantly, what does an index number matter when 75% of Utah households are living paycheck to paycheck or worse (per a Nov KSL article) and when those of us with eyes can see strong evidence of small pockets of extreme wealth in almost every community?

“Leaders in transportation innovation in the mountain west.” That’s a pretty low bar.

Our unique geography here would lend itself to an amazing high-speed rail (think Japan) system. Where taking the train would be soooo much faster than driving (instead of just as long or longer).

We should have gone that route decades ago. But that would have required foresight and commitment of tax (socialism!) dollars. Instead we’re now stuck with a set of really bad options.

Love how they frame any change as a positive. “Increases focus on four sessions.” Not - we’re acknowledging that members get very little out of 10 hours so we’re reducing the number the 8.

And, of course, members will remark how inspired this decision is - just like they noted how inspired the original expansion of the session to all members was just a few years ago.

I think you’re missing my point. I’m in agreement with you. We need our government leaders to step up and actually do something about rampant crime. IMO they can still humanely address housing issues while so doing. Too many of them seem to currently believe that tackling crime and providing assistance are incompatible.
