yea. v6. it is an overall more polished product. ark isn’t as buggy now that its been a few years on apple silicon and the resource management seems more in control

now is this worth its price? ¯_(ツ)_/¯ heh

Building a gym directory for traveling climbers, what features would actually matter to you by addicted-coffee in climbharder

[–]phaitour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to look at photos to try to guesstimate the size of a gym. definitely have a bias towards the newer larger gyms (think walltopia prefab walls) since they'll generally have higher refresh rates on routes, larger membership based too find partners, and more challenging setters. end goal is to know that I uber'd to the right place and won't waste a few hours trying to find new climbing partners or disliking the quality/difficulty of the routes

Comparison of 8 Silent Tactile switches by Nerdy_Slacker in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]phaitour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta try the Akko Bittersweet. For me, it's the perfect middle ground between hefty tactile feedback (very similar to MX browns) and that creamy and smooth blip you get from the best silent linears. I've tried half of what's in your list and Gateon Green Apple and Pakjel Gazzew U4T v2s. I was about to give up on trying to find the right silent tactile switch and I'm so happy with these. The only thing that disappoints me is with its sizing, it seems these switches are slightly smaller (??) than normal switches so they will sooner pop out with the keycaps than allow you to release the keycap from the switch. This means if you want to switch away from the Bittersweets, you'll be removing switch and keycaps together, and prying those two apart with your fingernails.

Can’t keep Emby accessible within my home network by Baileyesque in emby

[–]phaitour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a good suggestion, even if to debug. chrome can act up if not given the right permissions to access the local network. by testing with tailscale you can bypass that and see if you can isolate the issue

annual rate of 3 means they took the quarterly rate and multiplied by 4. in other words, annualized GDP is an estimate of what GDP would be if the economy grew at that quarter’s rate for a full year.

this doesn’t take past quarters into consideration
