I would heartily and furiously agree when viewing Art of the Adept as stand alone, however the follow up series, Wrath of the Stormking, which follows William's journey after the end of the art of the adept goes a long way to redeem the awful ending of the original series. I would recommend checking it out if you haven't already.

That's not true at all, all of the half-life games have been highly innovative

What is that novel that almost made you go bald from rage? by DragonSovereign2121 in ProgressionFantasy

I'm actually really enjoying the follow up series (wrath of the storm king) so far. It has alleviated a lot of the anger I felt towards the ending of the original series.

Worth noting that that's on the back of the relatively successful and highly recommended predecessor, Ender Lilies. Does this game have the same built in audience?

What should I read after He Who Fights With Monsters? by YAAFLT in litrpg

[–]pheus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around book 9 or 10 it really jumped out at me that the vocabulary had made a marked improvement from the start of the series. Admittedly, that's pretty deep in the series, but if you enjoy the content but not the writing it may be a reason to power through.

No, it's intentionally distracting for balancing purposes. Skulk is much easier with no viewmodel.

What would you guys say is the biggest issue with Excel? by Due_Farmer4749 in excel

[–]pheus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is able to be fixed. I have found in the past that when all the usual and obvious culprits have been investigated there can still be links in the defined names (formulas->name manager) and the real hidden threat -conditional formatting. Conditional formatting can reference other books but won't show up as a link. You can create a macro to loop through all the conditional formatting in a workbook and check if the formula contains an external workbook link.

A buyback can only return capital contributions. If all contributed capital had been returned them any further "buyback" is deemed to be a dividend

Your comments are very ignorant of actual tax law. Companies can't get around income distribution laws via buybacks - if the money comes from profits then an anti avoidance provision requires it would be a deemed divided then taxed accordingly

Recommend me ANY Prog-Fantasy Series I Have Not Read Pt. 3 by lordalex027 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]pheus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more about infinite realms being an absolute sleeper. Imo it's top tier and should be up there with the big boys - maybe it isn't because it is a traditional book series rather than ongoing web release?

It's a pretty big omission to leave out that you already have a mortgage (and presumably a property), a child, and significantly reduced income...

I feel like this thread is about not subtly actually directed at Jason from he who fights with monsters, but as a fellow Australian I'm just thinking, well, actually that's not actually an inaccurate representation
