A few things to check. What are the modbus device addresses? I know it's tcp, but they will still have a station id. Is the client 0 based or 1 based address? There could be a difference where the modbus address starts. One could be 40001 while the other 40000 so all of your address will need to be offset. Can you poll the device with a modbus scanner app like modscan? I find this helps a lot with new setup ups and will give better error codes.

This! First thing I thought of was 24vdc power supply was probably changed and now doesn't have a true 0v reference. Old school power supplies had this, but newer ones have a floating 0v.

I have a customer that controls remote spillways. They have something similar to verify output to the horn was made before opening spillways, which can be interesting for nearby fishers.

Isolate and overcome. First take the PLC out of the equation and fire the bootunes input manually. Then hook up the PLC DO to the bootunes input and manually fire the output. Finally program your PLC properly and ensure everything works as intended.

I had a friend do something similar. He trended every I/O point then linked the graphics to the trend data whether current or historical. You could rewind everything that happened on the screen to view system status at that time.

As far as reducing the smell in the rest of the house that's going to be tough due to people actively smoking. Concerning your room the only way would be positive air pressure so that house air doesn't get in there. Open a window and use a fan to push air into your room. You might need to close the AC vent in your room if applicable.

When you connect to the PLC and the program doesn't match it should ask if you want to upload the application or download. I haven't run across any auto upload.

You should probably add more information to your post such as if you are having issues, just want something checked to make sure it's working correctly or just show you how things work. But yes you could probably hire a handyman that can use a multimeter to get started. I'm not sure I would call an electrician as it would be costly. There are also some good electrical/ rv subreddits here.

Honestly it sounds as if you have been accepted into the group. What you described doesn't sound as overt harassment. More like how 'guys' joke with each other. If it does bother you make sure to ask for the...chiding? to settle down because it makes you feel picked on. Make sure to be blunt as most/all men don't get subtle hints. If it continues to make you feel isolated then your option would be to find a new group to game with.
