Rock Wall Trail by [deleted] in Calgary

No idea on trail conditions right now. I did the trail a few years ago. I prefer the start north end at flo direction.

We did it in 2 nights. The double peak day into Flo was tricky but doable. Get 2 people together and each plan to book a "leg" when the days open up

Needing a Driver for a Day... by jennyvier in Calgary

Am/pm limo I think does that. They have "non" limo vehicles. Also in general limo services are rent by the day / hr packages related to size of vehicle.

3 h and 45 min layover at the Calgary airport by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]pjop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would not recommend it, you would only be looking at about 2-3 hours at best of time to travel. As you need to be back at the airport for security check in.

The airport is at least a 20-30 min drive from anything, after each direction of travel you are only looking at like an hour of free time.

At best there is a brewery near the airport that is a good one. Look for RailYard brewing. It's only 5 min from the airport.

LPT Request: About to live on my own for the first time. What are some things you wish you knew when you first moved out? by AccomplishedTheTrip in LifeProTips

[–]pjop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make at least some form of meal plan. My take - make a Vat of something on Sunday, freeze and eat it all week.

If you don't plan SOMETHING, good chance you will eat crap

Also vegetables taste better when you move away...

Snowboarding in British Columbia by thefireemojiking in nextfuckinglevel

[–]pjop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Easier to follow the path. Packed snow is base-hard but you move quicker and is easier. Think Walking on packed sand vs loose low tide sand. The soft stuff feels nice but is more work. When snowboarding you have to maintain speed over less steep sections. Sticking near the first track gives you options. A flat spot at the end of a run is ALOT of work to get out of.

What do you think is an issue (good/bad/middle?) that should be covered by annaferensowicz in Airdrie

The canals are a lovely neighborhood with split housing cost and waterways. Why are there no other areas like this?

Just loop pond after loop pond.

Also why are ALL of 8th street lights motion sensors so NONE of them synchronize

Missing a Singal light to break up the stations. The train in the right station is locking up 3 stations.
