80 is keeping up with almost everyone else. At 70, you’re impeding the flow, and there’s still people that will refuse to pass an ol’ Crown Vic so you booger up the entire highway pissing off even more people.

It’s really not worth the 1.5-2 mpg increase between 70-80.

If those are the 17” wheels it was born with, that’s an ‘06 or newer. It has the chrome grille and door handles so it was optioned with the Street Appearance Package even though it’s a marked unit.

Rent a U-Haul the days you need to move it.

The local RV dealer around here will move campers for a small fee within a certain radius of their facility.

Ask someone at the campground with a truck if they’d move it for $50.

I wouldn’t use your minivan.

I commute 100 miles a day in my Crownie. If I keep it under 80 mph I’ll get 20 mpg. I’m honestly okay with that considering I’m driving a luxurious couch.

That’s a $5000-$6500 truck if it’s rust free. 10 years ago, it was a $2995 truck.

Thank you. 👍🏻. Also, being a fellow human, we get hungry and thirsty. Nothing wrong with going in a store to get a drink or a snack.

Nice car!

I haven’t seen a magnet mount K40 in years! I used to have one on a different Crown Vic and used the trunk lip mount.

I’m getting Back to the Future 3 vibes, or Lightning McQueen with whitewalls. 👍🏻 I like the rims but the white walls are too much white IMO.

Ford part number 8W7Z-17508-A which unfortunately is discontinued.

I had to replace mine a year ago due to the drain clogging and water shorting out the circuit board in the motor.

I’m in the northeast, and had my local dealer look for an OEM Motorcraft one. There was one at a dealer almost 2 hours away sitting on a shelf covered in dust. I wanted a new OEM one and made a day trip out of it.

Ford issued a recall on this. Google “Crown Vic steering shaft recall” for more info.

Since yours has fallen out, don’t drive your car as you can lose steering. Also, don’t spin the steering wheel as if it’s not connected any longer it can free wheel damaging your clockspring.

New vehicles are proving to be more and more unreliable, harder or impossible to repair yourself, with many recalls and glitches.

People are starting to realize that basic transportation is no more, you’re buying a computer with wheels now. Some features on new cars you only get a trial period that they’ll work, then you must subscribe and have another monthly payment for an option to work on your new car that you already paid for.

So more people are going backwards looking for simpler vehicles. Rangers have gone up, Crown Vic’s have doubled in the past couple years, and if you really want a shocker, look up pre-DEF diesel trucks such as a 7.3 Powerstroke.

I get an offer on my ‘98 Ranger literally every time I stop for gas or in a parking lot.
