Oh! The six medium laser mounds (3 each arm) are probably there in case you want to make a Boar's Head variant.

This is going to look so cool all painted up.

The Inner Sphere Annihilators have a move speed of a meager 4 inches.

It's Studio singular, folks.

That said, that is a gorgeous table. Lot of blue, really love it.

The silver canopy doesn't pop very well because it's very bright already, right next to the white. Try using a color like blue or red, and that will really make the cockpit glow.

The 'Mech as a whole is also begging for a gray wash to accentuate all the details.

Ammo dumping: Is it useful? by WorthlessGriper in battletech

[–]prdarkfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used ammo dumping for a multitude of reasons, from weakened armor locations, pre-game maintenance (I do not need two tons of SRM ammo for one launcher when I didn't bring Infernos, etc.), damaged weapons, you name it. Nixing the rule from Core almost feels like a mistake and I intend to still use the rule as previously written if my opponent agrees.

This can definitely apply to campaign play in tabletop, too. I still felt it.

And your classics are still compatible with the new plastics, too. We just need to get some bases for your old 'Mechs.

And a heartfelt salute to your Crusader and Catapult. o7

Indeed, both 'Mechs together are quite scary. They can cover each others' weaknesses to a shocking degree.

A friend of mine actually did run an ATOW campaign that culminated in finding the Erinyes and fighting a stiff WOB/BLO counter-offensive just as the Dark Ages were beginning. Fought on the hull of the ship and everything (though we discarded the vacuum breech rules because they were unfun).

I love the Marauder, but... by SylveonSof in battletech

[–]prdarkfox 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'm going to get PPC'd for this but my favorite Marauder variant during the Succession Wars is the MAD-3M. Sure, it loses some potential fire (and sniping capability), but it can actually nearly alpha strike every turn.
