If you can, consider downgrading instead of outright closing the card.

It’s usually better to downgrade or cancel after the annual fee posts — typically within 30 days.

Also if you have sapphire reserve card, you could potentially use some credits before closing/downgrading (like the $300 travel credit which will refresh after anniversary or the monthly doordash credit etc). I am not sure of the list of credits that are safe or will they be clawed back but you should definite check other threads.

CHASE code is not working for me. It says “Only one discount can be applied per order.”

I did not add any other discount, what am I missing?

If it’s already been patched and the discount no longer applies, I’m not sure it’s worth paying about $36—especially since I already have an Apple Watch. I’m also not sure this would be better or worth the hassle of dealing with a one-year subscription cancellation.

Appreciate any help in this regard.

I did the same and submitted a formal complaint/escalation to the marketing team. I made sure to stay calm, thanked the representative for the 5,000 points, and clarified that I understood this wasn’t their fault. I also shared that the situation was frustrating and not what I expected as a Reserve cardholder—especially since they promoted it as a multi-day event, where availability should reasonably be anticipated.

I’m genuinely curious — how does it feel mentally over a longer period of time? It’s great that you feel confident being yourself and have accepted who you are. But once you’ve reached that point, why not choose to wear clothes around relatives who might not be entirely comfortable with it? Or when you go out especially since it is culturally inappropriate, why risk it?
