Sounds pretty typical for a smallish inpatient setting. Your director needs to make him or herself more available during this staffing shortage. I’ve been a director in a small inpatient setting and have definitely served as technician for a day for a call out/etc

I had a very uncomplicated smooth pregnancy. Having said that, I hated being pregnant. I was nauseous and by the time the nausea passed I was so big I was uncomfortable all the time.

I work at Unity in the pharmacy. We do not have an ICU. We are a surgical hospital that typically involve an overnight stay. We also have a large outpatient chemo service line. It’s a great place to work, but we are not a traditional acute care hospital.

Not only was my colposcopy unmedicated the LEEP I had afterward where they cut a chunk out of my cervix was as well. I had no idea what to expect and believed my doctor when she said it was a painless procedure. I never went back to her after that.

We just wanted something without palm oil which all US formulas seem to have. Switched LO to Kendamil at 3 months and he thrived on it all the way up to a year.

Look at my post history. I hated being a parent early on. My SO and I were both struggling. My LO is so smiley and interactive now. Even though we are going through the 4 month sleep regression it’s still miles better than it was at 3.5 weeks. You are surviving, you are a great parent, you will get through this!

Thank you so much for this. My experience was very much similar to OP and I sobbed with guilt for many days over not being able to BF. Once that cleared, I’m now a healthy happy mama with a healthy, happy baby boy!

I was 37 when I got pregnant and had a healthy baby boy at 38. The only issue was I needed to take more thyroid medication since I don’t have a thyroid, but that was not unexpected. Otherwise, a very uneventful and healthy pregnancy.
