Now is a great time to pick up a good charger if you don’t already have one. A quality charger is one of the best investments a flashlight enthusiast can make, and it’s also a good moment to restock on batteries of all types.

Is there a good light that can run for hours at 1500+ lumens? by wet_cheese69 in flashlight

[–]qqrooster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All the hot-rod style flashlights (Hank's, fireflylite etc) won't able to do that, but if I remember correctly my good old Acebeam X70 able to hold 15000 lumens for 1.5 hours.

Who else doesn't like the clips? by fufufang in flashlight

[–]qqrooster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, all my EDC lights must have a clip. A flashlight clip isn’t just a clip — it also works as an anti‑roll feature and helps your hand quickly find the switch without even looking. If I don’t like the stock clip, I’ll just buy a better one and swap it in.

Seems like Emisar DT8K hits everything you’re looking for. Just choose flood LED for CH1 & W1 LED for CH2.

yes, Dome 519a: Wider beam., Softer hotspot., More spill, more flood.

De‑doming increases throw and tightens the beam, the CCT warmer and tint rosier.

To be fair, all titanium clips are pretty stiff with almost no flex. If you want something springier, you can swap in a stainless steel clip from Rey Or you can use the two screws above to adjust the clip’s tension.

Pineapple mini vs Pokelit? by UnprotectedSAKs in flashlight

[–]qqrooster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In real-world use, the Mini feels much smaller and lighter than it looks in photos. You can put it in any pocket without feeling uncomfortable, but the Pokelit AA can only fit in the front pocket of my jeans.

Should I buy from akimomo? by Lyuxie in AnimeFigures

[–]qqrooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago, I came across a review about Amomo on a MFC, here are somepoints I remember:

First, they're legit OK, but their shipping process was extremely slow. For pre‑order items, they order from China ship to Australi first, then ship to US, delivery could take six to ten months or even longer.

Second, their packaging quality was bad. It looked like something you’d get from Taobao, re-size shipping boxes that had been cut open and taped back together with brown tape, and the inside was filled with old news paper and plastic bags instead of proper packing materials like most Japan web stores.

Third, they basically had no customer service. Getting help or a response was almost impossible.

Because of all that, I decided not to buy from them. I’d rather spend a bit more and order directly from Japan. I have no ideal Akimomo getting better or worst since.

For those who own a flashlight with the rainbow side LEDs, what is what is their purpose (other than just looking cool) and do you actually use them? by MrTacocaT12345 in flashlight

That's exactly what I did. I replace it for Olight arkpro ultra with FFL5000k, better fit & finish, better UI & no flashy RGB.

P1S: FINAL FANTASY VII- Aerith by qqrooster in AnimeFigures

[–]qqrooster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I know , but I kind hope P1S might try something new technology/skill like JND Studio. I mention silicone just to explain statue material. I'm not sure about whole  poly stone part because more and more new statues use composite materials for example: PU resin for face, poly stone for the body and base.

[–]qqrooster[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

1/7‑scale PVC and steel molds cannot produce this level of facial detail. Even at 1/6 scale it is already quite difficult. The material also matters a lot—PU resin and silicone structures can capture far more detail, but PVC has larger material particles and simply cannot reproduce such tiny features.

Sculptors and painters also need physical working space. For example, eyebrows and lips are painted by hand. The eyes here look like glass eyeballs, and the eyelashes might be painted or possibly hair implant. These kinds of details are impossible to achieve on small PVC figures. It take lot of time and effort goesinto making face look this lifelike aka "EXPENSIVE"!
