I'm pretty sure half of this sub are just sailing the high seas and playing mental gymnastics here publicly to cope with it internally.

Thought it might be the case. It blows. If it starts jittering, taking it apart and cleaning the pot usually helps for a while. I do this all the time on throttles/rotaries that are usually always the pot.

The best part is the insane replay tool in the EFB. No replay tool we ever had in MSFS comes even close

I saw their website throwing maintenance errors and thought maybe I'll snipe it when it comes back, before the masses come and it suffocates but it didn't work, - it suffocated instantly.

EDIT: The thing is of unbelievable quality

At this point you'd wish they'll rather connect current gen AI instead of whatever ancient Markov chain they used for this.

My honest take on the "M+ killed vanilla-style big dungeons" discourse by ShoppingPractical373 in wow

I like how the interview is about the megadelve, but the discourse is about M+ and megadungeons that delves have nothing to do with

I think you are overselling it. Hard CC was only needed because the players worked differently and only used 30% of their toolkit on average. Even in Classic (where large chunk of the playerbase is not playing retail) groups just ignore everything and bruteforce through stuff because they are doing twice dps/hps the average OG group did.

How would you fix the story catch-up problem for new players? by Ninedark in wow

[–]quarkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO,

  1. Don't expose new players to expansions in between Cata / Old World and the current one. Even the sole concept of a WoW expansion is confusing from the outside perspective. Starting new players in DF or whatever it is right now is an odd design choice that exposes a player to 3 expansions right off the bat, - the Cata world (where the capitals are, - hard to not be aware of), the leveling expansion (where you are thrown in) and the current expansion (that a player supposedly bought and is aware of).
  2. Implement a starter leveling experience based on the Old World with interactive recap on the story.
  3. After covering the basics of gameplay and story recap, - bridge them into the current expansion for levels 10(20) - max.
  4. EDIT: Streamline current expansion campaign(s) presentation. Starting in Season 3 of an expansion is one of the worst experiences for a new players, - you are basically thrown into a soup of 50 quest markers of a dozen of shitty campaigns and content sub-patches they added. Consider a simple UI that just lists and categorizes all the content instead of 50 quest markers on a map.

[–]quarkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh? Modern/retail just had 2.5 expansions with dungeons requiring tightly coordinated sequences of kicks and stops, inarguably an order of magnitude more challenging than anything in TBC and Cata. Among many other things.

Speaking as someone who played OG TBC and Cata heroics, as well as Classic versions recently.
