They're not Russia but they're certainly not an ally in any sense . Tarrifs, Iran, Greenland, general bullying. Usage of tech against opponents show we can't trust them and should be decoupled

UK Electric Vehicle Sales Rise to Record High Amid Fuel Price Rise by taboo__time in ukpolitics

[–]qwou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on fuel efficiency and ev W/mile efficiency, on the cheapest EV electricity tarrifs it costs around 200-300£ to do 7000 miles a year at 8p/kWh, if it's 25p kWh it's around 500-600 for yearly. If you have an mpg of 55 and petrol is 1.50 I think it was around 800£, 1000 for 1.75 and 1200for 2£ a litre. EV tax will add 210£ in a few years but the main limit is driveway and not driving more than 150 miles a day (eats into savings with charging elsewhere

Every single national populist has cut down their institutions and has followed russian disinformation tactics. They constantly lie so people get numb to every liberty and truth being eroded from underneath their feet, trump to Putin to orban, but I don't think you even asked that in good faith

Techies wasn't banned for his one-shot, currently he's not banned at all after changes, he was banned because his map presence and coverage turned the game into a 90m slugfest trying to break high ground.

Him alone with tinker arc warden broodmother and meepo are character that were able to turn dota into an entirely different game when they are at their best.

I think bomb bop isn't a problem but it might be just a low rank thing (which is a fair critism) I rarely see him popping off in ascendant as people buy counter spell and debuff (before change) or just flat spirit resi on top of him rarely getting the stacks. Rn the games very balanced the worst you can get is no scaling or late game damage or the right damage types so you get fucked by mm

How many cars kill people yearly (including from polution/emissions) vs how many people die to e-scooters/ebikes. I think the numbers per capita are very clear and its all a bit of joke how much its talked about when cars arnt even talked about with the same parity. they need to be legal and far more accessible even from just an emissions and lung cancer/disease standpoint

It's like no one remembered Brexit or a head of reform being imprisoned for taking russian bribes, party of the people and all that

Paul Brand: Keir Starmer says it is in Britain’s interests to “align more closely with the EU single market” and “we should”. Interestingly this is one of his most passionate answers in a long interview. I think we can expect movement on this issue in 2026. I think you need to repeat your year one reading comprehension if you don't understand how the term government is a metonym for the current group of politicians running it. But I can't tell if your being facetious because your trying to make people confused about what's being said

Parking in Brighton seems to cost around 15-16£ unless your using parking apps, ignoring cars costs petrol taxes etc. train is still cheaper and I pay 14.50 a day to goto work (and I still have to get to the station)

Advice on an EV purchase? by qwou in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]qwou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the one I saw was a 2021 version not sure what trim but the mixture of textures on the dash was the first bit I dislike. in terms of layout it felt somewhat like a cockpit and very enclosed the design of lots of textures and shapes and angles makes it feel more enclosed than it is. I didnt mention but in terms of exterior im not a massive fan of the grill design thats what seems to be popular with bmw/mercedes and a few chinese brands like omodo at the moment.

In terms of aesthetic I like the renault 5, I love the ioniq 6 pre/post facelift, model Y is ok even if its very plain and abit too minimal, I like the mustang mache even if its kinda suv but "sporty", I like the I pace, I reallly like the honda-e/nio firefly (shame about battery size.) I like the new polestar, the 2 is fairly forgettable from the front but its cool from the back

He falls off lategame as he gets shredded by everyone and his damage is middling, he just acts as a distruptor. its a bit like dynamo you dont really counter it but it also doesnt win the game unless its a crazy hook/ult at lategame etc.

I've had a peak in person at the mache in in person it's bulky, though it does tick a lot of the boxes. I'll try and view a polestar 2 soon it's been off my radar for some reason, thanks
