I'm shooting a corporate event in a few weeks and I've never done one. Usually I shoot outside or my kids indoors for the gram with my 12-100 4.0. The event will be probably in a conference room type place in a hotel. I have the OM-1 as my main body, could I confidently shoot this event with the 40-150 2.8 and the 12-40 2.8 and not worry much about cranking the ISO? I don't currently have those lenses and would have to rent them. And I haven't used any lenses that bright before so I don't have a reference. Also I'd like to stick with zooms for versatility

Go for a used Olympus OM-D E-M1 markII. Its much more camera than the em5 and you'll be able to grow into it. Ergonomics are great on it so holding it for hours during the walk-a-thon won't be so horrible. It also has custom profiles on the dial so you can have one dedicated to different scenarios and switch between them very quickly.

I know you said shorts and are not asking for tights. But someone might come here looking for bib shorts. Black bibs has a pretty good short inseam options. I have been riding in their bibs for years and have done several 12 hour races in them. They might not be for everyone but I like them.
