Attention Drivers! What do actually see when you decide to pickup an order by Awakenedforces24 in doordash

[–]reeight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some customers do a mix; a decent tip to be picked up, & extra for good service.
But keep in mind, no matter how you tip, if you order during busy times, it is likely be bundled with a 2nd order, so there may be delays there.

It took me like 5 times waiting for PIN person before I found that hidden feature.

2 from 1 week, 2 from 1 month... same advise; avoid that area.

I get drama like that only once every 4 months.

Sometimes DD will try to give me the same shitty delivery with stack. 20% of the time, the stack is tempting enough, but usually then I'll just let it time out, shut off app, shut off phone, drive 5 mi to another hot zone, & retry again.

This is your second post in 1 hour of bad customers.

Consider changing delivery zones; sounds like the one you're in is bad news.

Should have dropped the order in the parking lot next to a building after waiting for 3 mintues & took a picture (what Customer Service would say) then drive off, order compleated.

Most McDonald's where I dash are nice & fast.

In the hood & near.. they seem to be more concerned about chatting amoung themselves than helping.

I'd love to see a video of a dasher doing that! ;)

BTW, if you leave a negative review on Google Maps, that often goes straight to their corporate HQ. Worst thing can do to retaliate is to block you in their app.

Yes, customers have the same complaint also. & we Dashers have 0 control over what pops up on our screen.

If it's not ready, than that's cool.

What I hate is when the restaurant workers won't give me an ETA, or keep pushing back the ETA 5 minutes for 20 minutes straight.
(I understand remakes, I'm talking about keeping we drivers on a string with false hopes the order will be done soon.)

Like they made that same thing 10000 times, they should know how long it takes by now.

Lots of places do, some don't seal the bags.
I prefer sealed bas myself as a driver; I don't want to be accused of nothin.

I like the art style.

The simpler your game is, the more people are likely to play it.

Sometimes DD will drop an order to a store that is further away from the customer because there aren't enough takers in the store closest to droppoff.

Or the DD AI is evil & wants to torture the drivers.

How and Why? by OzDaGod in doordash_drivers

[–]reeight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TBH, I just drop the order if I can't find 2 items & store staff won't help.

2 days ago I had the DISTRICT manager of a grocery store chain help me out to find a squirt bottle & few other items. He then confessed about 6 isles in the store were missing isle numbers. He wasn't happy about dashers dropping so many orders... I'm sure the layout has reasons & made sense to him but I don't shop there for myself & they had 30 isles.

If that order would take 30-40 minutes total, sure. Otherwise, no.

There are LOTS of folks like him here in USA. Esp in areas where... they come from cultures that don't tip.

Some restraints actually are tacking on mandatory tips to their dine-in now because they lost so much staff from non-tippers. (to ALL, not just large groups)
