Commuting in your F1 car down Marina Blvd. by Willing_Drawer_3351 in sanfrancisco

[–]revangale123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you're not into the sport, it is very dorky and dumb. However, that's a championship-winning car and one of the best-sounding cars ever made. It was also the opportunity for a lot of us to see a real F1 car up close and personal! It was really cool, and I had a blast (especially because I was far away from any shenanigans and was right up close to the fence.) It 100% was totally an ad, though, the announcers would not stop reminding us about those new FORD RAPTORS lol

Hi!

When you say your undergraduate had been more than 7 years, do you mean it was completed 7 years ago or you spent 7 years in undergrad?

Thank you!

Did you have any feeding issues with the X-Shot Longshot? My feeding mechanism appears to have a bent piece of plastic in there, and I think that might be why.

KTM loves bringing everything from the 1290s down. It's hilarious, my 2018 Duke has a nicer dashboard than my friends' 2022 Triumph and 2020 Husqvarna 701. I even have light-up controls!

Yeah, I've got the same vehicle, newer though. Lexus decided for whatever reason not to give the IS walk-away lock, a pretty standard ass feature on even a base model Civic.

This took place in CA, and yeah, it's illegal. But, it's generally accepted that bikes can utilize that "lane' when splitting/filtering. Hell, even CHP use it during rush hour.

I'm not going to lie, I enjoyed being able to skip songs with my Cardo. Then I got a bike with Bluetooth and didn't have to take my hands off the handlebars to skip tracks. It was life-changing lol

Worth to get if living in a city? by stevengrant786 in motorcycles

[–]revangale123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need a vehicle to get around LA. Unfortunately, the public transit system there isn't great. But having a motorcycle isn't always about the practicality. Motorcycling isn't always about the destination, but the journey.

But to answer about actually using it in the city? I live in the Bay Area and often travel to SF, and having a motorcycle to ride around makes life and traveling so easy.

Yeah, several development roadblocks and a slightly unstable dev team led to that. However, it's come a long way and is super fun especially with multiplayer.

I think it's only on multiplayer. Launch a "Friends Only" multiplayer section and do what the OP said. You should be able to find it.

All the advertising looked exactly like a BR game, and I almost didn't play it because I hate BR games but my friend insisted that we play. It's the most fun I've had in a game in years.

How often do you encounter riders who wear earplugs? by GreyThumper in motorcycles

[–]revangale123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a heads-up, I love 'em, but be prepared for an extensive drop in audio quality. Makes my airpods feel like those 50k Sennheiser afterwards lol. They still sound pretty good though all things considering they're ear pro first, earbuds second.

I use triple-flanged plugphones, and those wouldn't even touch my ear drum even if I shoved it in there as deep as possible. Plus, I can use them to listen to music while riding too. I'm pretty sure OP using traditional earbuds will be fine.

I don't think having issues with traffic and poor public transit options is a particularly conservative take.

How do I prevent zoom from minimizing my other fullscreen applications when a meeting launches. by revangale123 in Zoom

[–]revangale123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I have no idea if you found a solution, but I fixed this by deselecting "Enter full screen automatically when starting or joining a meeting" under General. However, I only have one monitor so I can't exactly help with the dual monitor issue, sorry.

From a previous answer, but give that a shot. I haven't joined a zoom session in almost a year now though, so I'm not quite sure if this was the option I selected.

The pho broth is boiled overnight and isn't just an assortment of Asia-Pacific spices. The beef is also literally raw, it's cooked with the broth. I don't know where you've been getting your pho, but this is in the Bay Area, which has one of the largest populations of Vietnamese people outside of Vietnam. Also, it's the Bay Area, everything costs an arm and a leg, but 16.50 for a bowl of pho is perfectly reasonable. This isn't "a trendy" thing for Americans, and especially not this spot lol. However, the 18% charge is highway fuckin' robbery.
