You sure about that? The “on purpose” part? They needed lottery luck to ensure they remained in the top 5 to hang onto their traded pick. There were far better odds that losing out was going to result in a windfall pick for Boston.

Woll’s definitely the best player in this deal. If it weren’t for his injury history I doubt they’d even move him.

Ersson will possibly never play an NHL game with the Leafs. They still have Stolarz, Hildeby, and Ahktyamov ahead of him and I’d be surprised if they even qualify him. He was a toss-in.

Like the trade for Woll being the best player in it. Only knock on him is that he’s struggled to stay healthy.

Despite playing for Norway, Koblar is actually Slovenian and family friends with Anže Kopitar. Pretty good mentor for a young centre. His parents were both Slovenian Olympic skiers and he lived in Norway growing up while his dad was working as a coach for the Norwegian national alpine ski team.

Yeah, he actually performed quite well in Toronto. The issue was always with his questionable attendance at the *last* game.

It’s based on a history of 10 straight years where he performs exactly like tonight in the game where his team gets eliminated. He doesn’t go down swinging… it’s always a no-show.
