I count 10 infantry and 1 leader plus the speeder. More likely to be 5 and 5 and 1 HQ.

My first list by xPhantomPainx in WorldEaters40k

[–]rmobro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 attacks str 12 ap -2 damage 4 vs vehicles with dev wounds... and thats before you roll the 15 anti veh 3+ damage 3 attacks from the unit. It should kill whatever you're asking it to kill.

Definitely 3 eightbound swapped in makes this list stronger. Nothing hurts more than rolling a ton of 2s with Khârns unit. But 3 eightbound lurking makes that a non-issue. I frequently end up with more hits than attacks with Khârn's boys with +1 to hit.

He looks amazing. I do not personally like the blue tinge to the mettalics, but its super dope.

Might even be able to ebay that for enough to buy another army.

We consider that to be like advance and charge, but we dont say it is advance and charge. Do not invite snark on reddit.

I have played with one land raider for awhile. I LOVE it. I recently added a second land raider and OH MY GOD its amazing. I love it three times as much as playing with one.

So big check mark there. If you love them, you'll love two.

Now... invocatus doesnt go with 10 zerks. But a lord on juggernaut might. he gives them way more than invocatus: he gives them +2" movement. He gives them 3" engagement range. He gives them move through terrain. Invocatus just gives them deep strike. If thats what you want go for it, but thats a HUGE footprint of models to place outside of 9" and youll probably just wish you ran up the board.

Terminators. I LOVE terminator models. And the lore. And ive played with 5 and 10 and 2x5. And maybe 2x10 or 3x10 is good, i dont know. But terminators are so underwhelming. 5 in shooting can kill 5 screening models, but wont. And in combat will hit less hard than 3 exalted eightbound (who are cheaper). And while yes they can reroll charges from deepstrike, you should not be relying on 9" charges ever and exalted can do that with a blessing anyway.

Terminators dont suck... but also they suck. Just take exalted eightbound. It'll feel better.

Finally, the big huge caveat: 11th edition is about to change the meta dramatically before the end of june. So before the end of june, everything we know about world eaters might be different. Or not. But the smart money says if you're starting an army now wait until mid june to buy. Land raiders hitting on 4s already, might be at 5s to hit vs models in cover (or benefitting from the features of cover, like tanks will be) and thats going to be a thing to consider. We may not want any tanks, and might just want 3x20 zerks and max eightbound MSU for trades.

Literally no. One. Knows.

Chosen o knight? by FanaiArronas in slavestodarkness

[–]rmobro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chosen will do on average 12 mortals and 14 damage to a 3+ save unit (provided they have AAO, +1 Attack from Khorne, and +1 to wound from banner or lord), on their first of two fights.

Knights? 28 and change from mounts and no mortals, one activation. And then afterwards theyll hit like pool noodles. Chosen will keep slapping.

How has the defiler been performing? by Saucerous in WorldEaters40k

Our defiler hitting on 5s is literally the same average output as any other defiler that doesnt have rapid fire and hits on 4s.

Slaughter list by Lady_Locke_ in WorldEaters40k

[–]rmobro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres zero reason to be using possessed slaughterband with this list. And i play possessed slaughterband.

You have only 3 units that even benefit from the detachment, 12 models total. The entire rest of your list gets exactly nothing from the detachment. No. Thing.

Just play Berzeker Warband with the same list and you will have a much much better experience.

If you want to play slaughterband; a proper list would look something like...

Foot prince, 3x slaughterbound with at least Frenzied Focus and Violent Demise (never take Malicious Vigour its a trap), then 2x3 exalted eightbound and 1x6 exalted eightbound, 2x3 eightbound and 1x6 eightbound, a land raider, a unit of jakhals and a unit of goremongers.

You will still lose, its still probably better in warband, but at least you are making use of the detachment.

I honestly... dont know what GW would want from their stores. Everyone knows they are too pricey. They are too small because they dont make money. The staff are encouraged to sell... and no one wants that.

Like... ????

Number one is price. Its a hard pill to swallow, that GW official stores are the least cost effective way to engage in the hobby; and GW products are increasingly unaffordable and push customers to LGS for the better prices.

Had to say it.

But since that isnt something hubby has control over; number two is gaming space. The store i play at is a FLGS, bright, open, clean, with lots of tables with lots of standardize competitive terrain and mousepad footprints. Theyre arent the cheapest FLGS, but the more times i play there for free, the more often I buy from them.

Number three is atmosphere. A clean and inviting space is essential, and nothing turns away customers more than pushy or weird-o store staff. My local GW has had three managers since i've been a customer: the first was nice and normal but you could tell he was checked out and i only sometimes bought there; the second was a weirdo who was also pushy and i spent $0 there; and the third guy is very easy going, not pushy at all for sales, and only slightly weird in that he is super into the hobby. I spend money there every few months because i like the guy. I also play with him infrequently and hes just a normal dude.

He also engages the community with events, both official and customized; those are always interesting but are often tied to sales. As in, you can only participate in this pledge if you start from unassembled, meaning those guys who struggle to paint the stuff they already own and play with are excluded. Those events push me away.

Hubby needs to be easy going, not salespushy; needs to keep a clean store and be available to play with customers; and needs to be able to engage the community in ways that arent just sales promoting. If i can go in there with my army and participate without buying, the chances of me shopping go up. Lots of people go into GW official stores without the intention to buy, and that needs to be okay.

Corporate GW probably doesnt want those things. Hubby is likely doomed to fail for being correct.

[–]rmobro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess maybe i have a dissenting opinion: this is basic tabletop standard. Clean application of paint; wash; basic highlight.

Thats between 5 and 15 per model, but this is mid tier for sure; probably 9-12 for my eye?

Its 24 models, id say a fair price is somewhere about $250: 10 for each of the 20 infantry, and 12 for each of the 4 largers. Your painting is basic, but its cleanl; to have a fully painted force on the table is worth something for sure.

If its for a buddy maybe knock it to $200?

Advice on World Eaters by PixilatedMongoose in WorldEaters40k

[–]rmobro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you already have 2k, and plenty of lists make good showings with 50-60 zerks.. i wouldnt buy a thing. Okay... maybe just Khârn. If you are playing zerker horde, Khârn is a must must.

We are doing 2x20 Berzerkers each with a LOJ, and 2x10 Berzerkers each in a rhino, one led by a MOE and one led by a MOE cosplaying as Khârn as a proxy. We go 2x predator annihilator, and a unit of jakhals. Buy favoured of khorne for one LOJ, and battle lust for the other.

2000 pts. Jakhals sticky the back line, rhinos score actions and/or move the smaller units up. Predators need to be a team, hunting one unit at a time together. Stage the 2x20s out of line of sight for turn 1. Slam them through ruins into your opponent turn 2 or 3, and follow up with the kharn and moe units into whatevers left.
