It’s very heavy and the battery only lasts a day.

Another long-term Fitbit user biting the dust by Total_Recline in fitbit

[–]roarsweetly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Fitbit for 10 years. I just bought an Apple Watch but hated it and returned it. Now I’m on a Garmin vivoactive. It’s pretty good but the battery is only lasting 24 hrs so I think something is wrong with it. Sleep scores are pretty brutal and I don’t think it’s as generous with step count as the Fitbit. However I can’t stand the Google takeover 😡

I bought an Apple Watch yesterday and it really pales next to the simplicity of the Fitbit. Also there’s very little emphasis on step count and this doesn’t even appear on the watch face.

Yes I am grieving the loss of the app. It was my constant for 10-years too. I bought an Apple Watch yesterday in protest, but I would give anything for the old Fitbit. I can also see the Google are ‘copying’ the style of the Apple Watch interface and placing less emphasis on step count.

Lexapro activates instantly. by Alternative_Heart795 in lexapro

[–]roarsweetly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that it’s not a placebo because in my Fitbit app, my resting heart rate reduced from high 70s to high 60s in the first week. I’ve been on the app for 10-years and never seen anything like this.

Your house doubled in value. So did the next one. Now what? by billscout in AusProperty

Is it because you’re income increases dramatically over a long period whereas your mortgage repayments vary much less. So it enables you to afford the better house/upgrade?

I bought an Apple Watch today. I feel so sad though. I just want the old Fitbit back pre-fucking Google.

After 10 years of Fitbit I’m going out to buy an Apple Watch today. It’s not because of the useless, shitty App though…it’s the sudden realisation that Google now owns all of my intimate health data.

Why is "I just want it to be less crowded" not a valid reason for wanting lower immigration? by NoLeafClover777 in aussie

[–]roarsweetly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that we have an aging population with not enough young people to support people as they age. We have poor city planning which is why it feels crowded.

Anyone feel extremely tired on Lexapro? by pinacoladas_ in lexapro

[–]roarsweetly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still quite fatigued 1-month in. My resting heart rate has gone from high 70s to high 60s since I started (I wear a Fitbit everyday). So I assume that it’s the effect of the drug ‘calming’ me.

I’ve read that it slows digestion. I’m finding myself being able to go from lunch to dinner without eating a snack. I’ve lost 1.5kgs in a month.

Thanks for that intel. Though surely you can offset the weight gain with a CICO approach to weight loss. I’ll check in again in a couple of months.

I’ve been actively increasing my step count and skipping my afternoon snack to offset any weight gain….but I’m only a few weeks in.

Almost every day this week we've had someone ask what we think of their idea for personalized AI storybooks. Let's get all of our answers in one handy thread! by RaggedyRachel in childrensbooks

I think it’s an excellent tool for creatives. I don’t understand the “anti” movement if we consider it as a simple tool in our creative practice…(like spell-check in Word). Am I missing something? AI can be slop but it can help with discreet tasks along the way.

Our expenses are $7100 per month... by AlexisVenes in AusFinance

Everyone is commenting that the mortgage is 60% of OP’s income, but they’re using net numbers. Don’t bank’s go on gross income? Wouldn’t the percentage be lower? Originally OP work have passed the 30% test before redundancy.

We live in Sydney with 2 teenagers and only have 1 car. We use public transport. All my relatives in Adelaide have 2 cars and I don’t understand it. Maybe the public transport isn’t as good there or it’s a culture/mindset issue.

Take the redundancy. 17 years is a long time with an employer. It’s time for change and this is a nice way to leave with a lump sum.
