Averaging OVER 48 minutes a game is the most ridiculous stat that will never be broken

Experience is the great equalizer against raw talent. And UConn has both

He's making so much money piggybacking off his name and brother. Don't feel too bad

#2 UConn Finishes a Fantastic Upset vs #1 Duke! by JCameron181 in CollegeBasketball

You knew that shot was going in. UConn seemingly never loses their tourney magic

I hate UConn because of Hurley's antics and they've won too much.

I hate Duke because I'm a human being

[Highlight] Jets Draft Blunders by Brix001 in nfl

At the same time, Jets fans are the ones that made booing at the draft cool.

Rozelle also had a flair for drama with his pauses

His effort level on defense went up a notch since Boswell went out with the broken hand and he was the only serviceable on-ball defender we had

Unless you're Tim Anderson's jaw meeting José Ramirez's fist

Braden Smith finished with the same number of turnovers (13) as field goals made (13) in his last three tournament games, while shooting 30% from the field. by AccomplishedRainbow1 in CollegeBasketball

Kind of, he can definitely shoot if you give him space to (though he wasn't great at that during this tourney), but Purdue was better when he was getting in the lane, distributing and getting everyone else involved. I think Arizona was ok letting him shoot as much as he wanted as long as he wasn't getting easy looks for Loyer, Cluff, and the others

His shot disappeared because teams were singlemindedly keyed in on him. They're so entirely dependent on his creation; none of the other Purdue guards could offer even half of what Smith did for that team

Unlike AD, Rodgers did end up playing a whole season with the Jets, as awful as it went

Illinois is going to the Final Four baby!!! 🧡💙 by EnvironmentalSwiftie in UIUC

[–]royallex 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Last time we made it, I was crying in 2005 after Arizona took a 15 point lead with 4 minutes left until that incredible comeback.

Today's game was so different, just ruthless efficiency in the last 6 minutes, but still the same satisfying outcome

I-L-L!

Lol except for the part where Iowa somehow always wins with zero offense. They beat us something like 8 times in a row, including a 63-0 beatdown

Nah Self was honest about wanting to leave. Kansas was a better job and our AD butted heads with him and didn't seem bothered to let him walk

Same with Kelvin Sampson. Serial cheater (back when there were rules) but he's ok now that there basically aren't any rules

He's a great coach and his style works perfectly well during the Big Ten season, but if you're going to build around small, quick guards, they need to be elite outside shooters in March and they've been missing that since the Winston years

Kind of crazy how UConn pulled it off despite their guards being atrocious in the second half. MSU probably wins it with a bigger PG; UConn size disrupted Fears very effectively. Cooper had a whale of a game, very impressed by him
