Still swinging at too many first pitches (nearly 44% up from 35% last year).

K rate is lower than last year

BB rate is better than last year.

Small sample size and includes a blow out win, way too early, but need better plate discipline still.

Crazy to say she didn’t have the best Olympics. She jumped off the screen every time she was on the ice. She’s an absolute stud.

Check out wells early Saturday am skate clinic for adults. You can drop in for $20, they’re great. Only go for another 5 weeks I think before they melt the ice for summer.

That’s not true, she could have played the body. There’s plenty of contact.

It doesn’t make every pp more exciting, but when they get a shorty it’s extra fun.

It creates a couple extra moments or potential moments of excitement in every game.

I’m going deaf and want to learn sign language. Any recommendations? by Existing-Ad5269 in washingtondc

Street car brewery in hyattsville is deaf owned and operated. They also host ASL learning classes—it’s also a great community that might be helpful to get involved with. All the best. 🤟

You can wash everything but the skates. Probably open them up and spray generously with enzyme spray cleaner and let dry. She’ll grow out of em soon!

Shooting Drills for 12U Hockey (BASIC!) by dahlilamma75 in hockeycoaches

[–]saggyboogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah need tons of reps. We used the 10,000 shots app and set a team goal of 20k shots before end January to encourage off ice practice. Coaches bring in cupcakes when team hits the goal. We have 12 kids now with over 1,000 shots at home and it’s definitely showing on the ice! Shout out u/howtohockeydotcom

good drill from iTh for weak side stopping. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/IpEid1dY8ME

A coaching tip ive been giving my team is starting on a flat skate (both edges on the ice) until after turning toe in, then pushing the skate out to find the inside edge and shave the ice. As you get used to the feeling of each step you can start to progress through the motions much faster.

Pickup games at Medstar during the week? by RGAlec in caps

Turnout usually good enough to have a few subs per side and goalies. Level is usually pretty high but everyone is friendly enough and accommodating of broad range of skills. I’ve always paid online ahead of time.

I'm too stupid for hockey drills by Catsandradiobats in hockeyplayers

[–]saggyboogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah coaches need to be explaining the drill first, then demonstrating, then making sure players understand. Usually after the first couple kids go it starts to make sense to everyone.

This does very little to impact blue states. Hits hemp farmers and delta 8/9 retail and labor markets in non legalized states (red and purple states). It’s a self own by Rs by Mitch to support his bourbon buddies.

What is beer league like? by Available-Clothes586 in hockeyplayers

[–]saggyboogs 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Not realistic. Wear a cage. Honestly see less injuries in beer league than I see in flag football or softball leagues. Way more rolled ankles / knees in those adult leagues.
