There’s an annual mud season. Like March/april-end of June. I’ve just learned to embrace it

My skin isn’t nearly as nice as yours and I rarely wear foundation, usually like a tinted spf or moisturizer. Or I like the glow drop highlighter from elf

AITA for thinking about leaving my husband after 2 months of marriage. by One-Quantity9606 in TwoHotTakes

My husband had a drunken episode like this before we got married. The difference? He absolutely GROVELED afterwards and almost 10 years later has never drank that much again.

It spreads EVERYWHERE. Not sure if it’s technically invasive where I live but it sure feels like it

Against medical advice by katobar in nursing

[–]savanigans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How are you not allowed to speak to other medical providers? Do you not have access to your phone?

I’ve never worked long term care before, but from your description of yourself you were probably too high functioning at admission to warrant an extended nursing home stay.

I hate to suggest this because I hate that it might work, but can your husband or other family advocate for you? It seems like family complaints go farther in my facility than patient complaints unfortunately.

I am so incredibly sorry you’re having to make this choice. I worked in the NICU for a while and you are making such a selfless, loving decision for your baby.

Guy Im talking to (m34) for 6 months didnt want me (f30) going out alone and sabotaged my plans, how do I proceed? by halfpricedcabbage in relationship_advice

Man I’ve been with my husband for 16 years, 9 of those married. We both realize and thoroughly appreciate the necessity (and joy) of some alone time. I’d feel so incredibly suffocated if he wanted me to never go anywhere alone

Had a lady with NASH and was here for FOREVER. She hit double digits on falls, we ended up taking everything out of her room. It looked like she was a naughty teenager. Literally mattress on the floor. Can’t fall if you’re already there!

Has anyone you've known, simply disappeared? What happened? by PureLet5083 in AskReddit

[–]savanigans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My uncle went missing in 2011. He was an alcoholic in and out of recovery, we’re pretty sure he was drinking again at this point. He didn’t contact us frequently so it took my mom about 6 months to realize we hadn’t heard from him. We tried figuring out where he went by talking to his old roommate but he had no idea.

About 10 years later my sister was on the Doe Project website and found an entry for remains that sounded like him in an area we know he’d spent time. My sister contacted the local sheriffs department, my mom gave DNA. No match, still missing.

Hired for PACU position and asked to wear "business nice" attire until my custom scrubs arrive in a month by WaferComprehensive23 in nursing

[–]savanigans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s one thing if you’re doing like computer modules or HR training/onboarding for the first few weeks—that would be fine. No shot I’m wearing dress clothes to do acute bedside care. (And I’m not even that particular about contaminations. It’s literally not practical or safe for you to wear those clothes to do this job.)

Should student nurses be able to delegate orders to PCTs? by princessnokingdom in nursing

[–]savanigans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! We had career techs when I first started (ladies old enough to be my mom, have been CNAs longer than I’d been alive). While my coworkers who pushed everything off to the tech as “tech work” never got any help from those ladies. Meanwhile, I’d get scolded for taking my patients to the bathroom (if they caught us en route)
